  • Time machine please.

  • @carrieluvv in 1977 during the concert it was called over the top. But the intro is actually out on the tiles.

  • what better during an la summer

  • Oh damn, I remember him doin this at MSG in 1977, was incredible!!

  • @kewlbreez77 haha so do i ..i was 10 yrs old and sitting on my fathers shoulders watching this .After watching bonham play the drums that day i knew i wanted to do the same and ive been drumming ever since...30 yrs.!

  • Comment removed

  • Rock and roll drumming was fatal in those days...

  • Keith Moon with Zepplin. It's sense.

  • Robert on drums? Kick ass!!!!

  • What is jimmy palying at 1:18?

  • @LedZeppQueenBeatles That"s out on the tiles, its off zeps 3rd album!

  • @LedZeppQueenBeatles Out On The Tiles - used as an intro to the drum solo

  • Keith was great at this concert. Maybe the only one that could cut it, except for maybe Bill Ward (Sabbath). But after growing up in this era and seeing them a couple of times live, it is really hard to watch with out Bonham.

  • 5:40 Looks like plant could have tried out for the bands drummer

  • Keith was awesome in this video.

  • what's the name of the first song? it sounds AMAZING!... RIP: Keith , RIP: Bonham

  • @lupooficial Trampled under foot. Great song

  • haha 18 string guitar...awesome

  • @skitch88.....Yeah, your right. I was a little hard on them and yet I thought they were an incredible band but had somebody been there to tell them like Elvis, we still have John, Keith and Elvis still today.

  • Blackmore my butt come on dude get real. He was good but nothing compared to the MASTER_JIMMY PAGE

  • badgeholders only!

  • You can play a million notes and it won't mean anything comparied to 3 notes strummed orgasmically that no one else thinks of.

Page had rough patches and people have their own opinions, but Page created a 'sound/style/melody' that's so freaking hard to mimic. And to tell you the truth his sloppyness makes it even harder to copy and it becomes more personal. Personal > controversial; that's how music should be, b/c then you tell something that no one's heard vs. something everyone's heard.

  • I have to ask you guys something that's bothered me for a lot of years. I remember watching In Concert, and they had a Led Zeppelin concert on. It was I believe Madison Square Garden. There was this chick and she was sitting close to the stage and started masturbating right in front of Jimmy he looked at her in disbelief then smiled. Then this guy started to jump on her, Then shortly after they cut the show off. Did anybody else see that ? Did that happen? Or is my memory not serving me?

  • Hello there music appreciator.

-Do bands like Zeppelin, Floyd, The Doors, Hendrix and the Who give you chills? Are you physically attracted to seeking truth in music? Well I am formally inviting you to take a listen to my channel, relax and let you ears fully enjoy my sound. I would love it if you took the time, they wont leave you disapointed. And in case if you end up liking it, your subscribtion to my channel will help me show the world my music. Much Love.

  • but... how can Jimmy Page be related to Ritchie Blackmore ?Sometimes I read Page is consider superior to Ritchie ... Blackmore, above all in that year, 1977 was at the top... Page starts to pay his long drug and drinking addiction... along all the career of this two guitar players, Blackmore was and is 1000 times superior for speed, feeling, technique ... listen this Page solo and compare it with Blackmore's solos in RAINBOW ON STAGE ... there's no history !!!

  • @pescato68

1000 x better? Blackmore was slightly faster than Page, as he was than Hendrix... that didn't mean he was better than either of them. Neither of them are anywhere close to the Malmsteen's, Paul Gilbert's, or any of the Shrapnel records crowd. Feeling? Obviously a lot more people are moved by Led Zep and Jimmy's solos in them (Stairway to Heaven, Black Dog) than Blackmore's. That's subjective, of course.

  • Let's see, Robert Plant is messing around with the drums, Jimmy Page is playing somewhat out of tune and Keith Moon joins them as he spazs out on the congas and tamborine. Did somebody spike the kool-aid? :)

  • @stormkite1 if you did as much drugs and alcohol as they did, you'd be dead. and they were doing a 2 hour encore.

  • @stormkite1 Jimmys Not out of tune.

Its the sound of the bass there albemic

  • Man...I'm a huge fan, and although I wasn't old enough to see them, I'm old enough to remember the day when Zep fanatics like me would work hard to hunt down VHS tapes of footage like this. And man, it was like some weird occult experience watching it...not just because it was so good, but because it was so rare and underground. Weird to think kids are checking it all out - well most of it - on the internet now. That's cool though - you gotta get your Zep whatever way you can!

  • page's solos live were often coke addled disasters.

  • can you just imagine how many talent was on that stage

  • can u imagine the after show party that night!?

  • Can you even imagine the pussy these guys got?

  • @marty1966 EPIC and constant

  • @marty1966 I don't want.

  • @marty1966 No.

  • @marty1966 YOU AINT KIDDIN'

  • Can you imagine the party afterwards? WHEW!

  • OMG!! Keith and Bonzo together.... too much

(did you know it was keith who gave the name for the band?)

  • yes, they all came about from the yardbirbs. . .

  • @aneroltatsel and entwistle.

  • @cacaw8 yes, yes, yes!!! you have given me a reason to go on- thankyou my friend-thank-you, and BRAVO for saying something I've needed to hear BADLY for 30 years-

I never really liked "Jazz" cos most of that style is just toooo sterile sounding-

  • Led zeppelin kills the who so bad that when zeppelin came out people were like who are the who?

  • i had a drumgasm!! KEITH AND JOHN!!!

  • Try playing this kind of guitar....live....sometime. Not easy.

  • its widely known after 75 led zepp started to get sloppy, too much drugs

  • Page may be sloppy, but he can make all that dirt and grit work to his advantage.

Can you play sloppy and still sound good? No? Okay shut up.

  • I was there for this concert. At first I was wondering who this obviously awesome drummer was...too much Thai Stick!! Then it became very clear this was a special moment. Keith and John Henry playing side by side. This was a great concert and a memory that is etched in my mind forever.

  • i love at 9:00, bonham is trying to keep up with moon lol :x

  • Keith appears at 6:14 :)

  • great combination!! i love the way they collaborate each other. for those who thinks Led Zeppelin sucked on live, you should search more about Zeppelin. especially 68-72. agree with @xcrazygringo.

  • Jammer70s - did you ever see them live? If you did you would know you are wroing. This band may not always have been briliant live, but they were BRILLIANT. FULL STOP

  • Keith Moon was an absolute f*ckin' loony!! But a lovable one, and an incredible drummer. Bu this live version of Rock and Roll is an utter piece of shite. Jimmy

Page in studio was a genious, but live he was a sloppy, wanky, wasted, out-of-

tune poser with a shit tone. How did he make a Les Paul and a Marshall sound

    so bad?

  • Anyone who thinks Zeppelin sucked live obviously don't know shit! Because thats when there greatest moments where reached! The time and era was the key! And there improvisation was the door that they unlocked! Back then bands worked for there living touring non-stop, dragging behind them constant temptation of booze drugs and woman! Physically and emotionally drained most of the time they still managed to put on a 2-3+ hour concert nightly, f-in amazing!

  • @xcrazygringo i was at knebworth in england for the 3rd of august saturday gig.last but one they ever played and can confirm sadly that they were pretty shit sadly.broke my heart was expecting so much and they sucked balls big time.page was atrociously bad.

  • @xcrazygringo You're right. But, live music is more important now than it has been for nearly a century. MTV doesn't play as many videos. The internet has made recorded music a fruitless endeavor. And, music players the size of a credit card can hold every genre known to man. The Beatles could never just make albums in today's world. Hollywood Rose would be an "Indy" rock band. Of course, punk would have never been the necessary counter culture response to the more technical mainstream rock.

  • @tcdahn7 You are very right about the importance of live music today and I agree pretty much with all the points you've made. Technology has changed everything. agreed But it's also taken away alot also. However, when your a band or group the caliber of "the Beatles" Stones' 'Led Zep" ect...ect.. No record company would of dictated a thing to them. They'd of still done it their way and say "Listen if you want the music this is how we do it, .. how you distribute it is your dilema."

  • @TheLedzep007 Even page said that he was not very good on stage...and he was right!!! Plant was Signing like a girl and Page missed not after not...They Suck in concert!!

  • @rockandroll42 change your name!!! u know nothing about REAL!! Rock and roll!!!!!

  • @rockandroll42

The funny thing is you would pay your left nut to be as good as any of them.

  • @rockandroll42 your retarded, zepp was the greatest live band of all time. they consistently gave 3 hour concerts and with great improvisation that created new riffs and ideas. no other band could do what they did.

  • @deafnblind77 yeah zepp is pretty fucking great. but best musicians ever? i mean trust me man rocks my favorite type of music but rock guitar is very simple compared to other types of styles. either way zepp kicks ass.

  • @thekalidescopeaffect I understand what you're saying, but there's more to rock than meets the eye (or ear, I suppose I should say), and maybe more importantly, Led Zep was WAY bigger and broader than "just rock" (I hate to use that phrase as a life-long rocker). Led Zep was beyond music, in fact. It was/is basically a kind of religious movement...and trust me that was by design. Again, I respect what you're saying, though. Check my channel for some good raw blues btw...

  • Led Zeppelin was a great band...but live they suck big time!!!

  • @rockandroll42 dude just listen to How the West Was Won, you will eat your words

  • @rockandroll42 Led Zeppelin were voted the "best live act" at 2008 MOJO Awards

  • @rockandroll42 DOnt you FUcking go there you no good peice of shit... you shoudl rot in hell for such blasphamy

  • As a musician,I bet he loved playiny thay guitar after waxing them strings of that guitat...

  • Page are not good guitarist as you see (bur very to compose).A lot false note A LOT ! Plant is like a little girl who looks in the mirror to see what dress she will !

  • @segomil you mean like trying to compose full sentences that make sense?

  • @segomil fuck you asshole you do not of music motherf fucker

  • @segomil he are too! lol

  • If I was there, I would have jizzed at the sight of Moon walking out on the stage.

  • Keith Moon came out for the encores that night

  • BONZO,,,,,,,,,, THE BEST EVER!!!!

  • ok for you pinheads..bohnam took the best of all the drummers and made it his own

buddy rich hrb brockstien gene krupa and so on laid the foundation john took it to the extreme.. oh for those of you who think your a drummer.. herb brocstien is the founder of promark..yeah thats right the freakin promark sticks ya play with.. met him jammaed with him get a life

  • if you knuckle heads think this is Kieth Moon 2 things you dnt know shit and get glasses lmao

  • @solarwarrior63 Is that why Robert Plant says "Keith Moon!"?

  • i love looking at internet arguments!!! XD

  • In all honesty, i"ve listened to hundreds of drummers, but the FACT is BONZO #1 PEART #2. PERIOD!!!!!

  • fuckin hell its handbags at dawn on here.now now ladies please stop bickering. everyone knows phil collins is the worlds best drummer ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha like fuck. you cant seperate moon and bonham they where both unique and will never be replaced.

  • Robert on drums in the middle, haha

  • you guys are both full of malarkey. I bet neither of your mother's basements even have room for drum sets in them.

  • wanna see two douche bags monopolize a whole comments page?

  • Comment removed

  • that doesn't look or sound like keith. i call bullshit

  • tiene la posta ese que dijo "el peor guitarrista en vivo de la historia del rock"

  • It sucks that the two best rock drummers are gone, but think of the heavenly band we can look forward to.

How's this, a band with 2 drummers, Moon & Bonzo, on guitars, Hendrix, Duane Allman & SRV. Double bass guitars, John Entwhistle & Cliff Burton. Billy Preston on keys, Freddie Mercury vocals, yea, that must be quite a sound!

  • @ricadrew 2 vocals; Mercury and Dio

  • @thewhorocks524 Yea, that works too, you know, there's so many others that could be added to this, I just put the first ones that came to mind, can't have a band with 50 people, or maybe.........lol

  • that turned out well...

"ladies and gentlemen, we'd like to do-"

    "KEITH MOON!"

    yes, we would.

  • It was only fitting...Keith named their damned band for chrissakes.

  • @findjinn sure did Apparently they would go down like a "lead Zepplin" and voile'

  • How lucky were these people? You go see Zeppelin and Moon comes out on stage!

  • Moon drums with half the power of Bonham

  • @mjw9363 Moon drums with half the power of Chuck Norris and thats alot of power.

  • @mjw9363 ...You're wrong. Moon is just hitting the Timpani's and the mics on them are OFF.

I have this Bootleg on LP which I got 20 years or more ago and it's called "Bonzo's Birthday".

There is a segment where Moon sits at Bonham's kit and plays a short solo and let me tell you, he ROCKED! more than Bonham and his sound was huge because of how Bonham's kit was set up and miked and the 26 inch bass drum and giant sticks etc. But dude, it was HEAVIER than Bonham. I know, unbelievable but true.

  • @Muzicification If you don't know Bonham was the most "powerful" drummer back in the day...well....you should....you do him a dis service saying the use of a microphone and his set up (which your set up would have zero influence on power)...know this....Bonham was a strong man...who would you think would win in a fist fight???

But there are TWO main reasons for Bonham's power....he fucking struck the heads hard...TWO...he use the largest sticks available...twice the size of any other drummer

  • @mjw9363 You don't know much. I have been a drummer since I was 5 years old and learned from my father who was a professional drummer as well. I've played in bands for years and I used to play all Bonham's stuff. He hit hard only in FILLS. If you listen to him solo he had a soft touch on the snare stylings which he learned from listening to Buddy Rich (also where his triplets and crossovers came from). His kit was MIKED FOR VOLUME esp. the 26 bass drum which often had 2 mikes on it. (cont.>>>)

  • @Muzicification ALL kits are miked numbnuts...if it was just a case of miked drums..he who turned the knob up furthest would be just as famous for power.....he was a forerunner in pushing the drums through the board for EFFECTS..Know It All....and you again glossed over the well know thing that separated Bonham from most Drummers...LOGS as they were called....huge sticks...

"I use to play Bonham's stuff"...what the FUCK ever...You might of "tried"..if you could play "his stuff" you'd be famous

  • @mjw9363...And before I call it a night....let me give you an education. Go to the video on Youtube posted by "Total Drums" entitled, " Buddy Rich Drum Solo. The Hague 1978 ". Watch that 7 minute solo and learn where Bonham got his licks and his bass drum sound/tone..Buddy's 26 inch with speed king pedal. Learn where Bonham got his fills and crossovers and know that Bonham could NEVER play a solo like Buddy's there..the speed, flawless syncopation, killer paradiddles, 1 hand ROLLS. AGE 61 !!!

  • @mjw9363 ...oh and one more thing...stamina??? You think Bonham had some killer stamina to play long songs for a long show? Buddy Rich played 230 to 250 shows a YEAR for over 45 years. The complexity of his playing and time signatures/changes supersedes Bonham's time changes EXPONENTIALLY. And Buddy played faster and LONGER than Bonham...who toured maybe 4 months per year every 2 years after 1973. Nothing compared to Buddy. And Rich played a whole show with ONE arm as his other was broken. >>>

  • @Muzicification yeah...a 45 min show......some of Zeps song were that long...and learn physics...Bonham's sticks were twice the size of Buddy's. you know, MUCH HEAVIER...your a fool to even compare the two.....apples and oranges...Dork

As for Martial "Arts"...exactly...an Art form...only useful when some one else is using Martial Arts against you..We learned REAL hand to hand combat techniques in the Rangers..in MMA..very LITTLE is used....if you ever get in a REAL fight you'll learn the truth

  • @mjw9363 45 minute show?? Haha..Buddy played 2 hour shows at colleges, clubs and jazz benues for over 40 years dipshit. And his sets were him rockin away with super complex music for almost the entire time..for 230 nights a year on stage. Bonham NEVER did or could do that. And Zepz show were 3 hours sometimes...but an hour of that was acoustic stuff where Bonham went backstage and got high or drank in a chair...and maybe played onstage for 3 or 4 tunes playing TAMBOURINE. And >>>

  • @mjw9363 >>>> and Bonham's sticks weren't THAT big idiot. He used what now are like 6-B's. You act as if he was swinging baseball bats. Buddy could play with any size stick at speed. And if you knew anything about drums and physics you'd kno that a drum can only get SO loud..hitting it harder after a certain point does nothing...just breaks a head. Bonham was a good "rock" drummer. Buddy was IT..the KING..a MONSTER..a human TORNADO. Oh.Rangers?? My family have been Rangers in the US Army>>>

  • @Muzicification He used 6b's huh IDIOT???....funny...it's a well known FACT he used 2a and 2b....I fucking hate "know it alls" like you....go do some reading..FOOL

  • @mjw9363 ...haha...Look at the early stuff and you will see he used 6b's. Led Zep one vids from Europe tour etc. He did not always use the exact same drum stick size for all 11 years of Zeps career. Funny how you disregarded all the corrections I made to your blunderings.."MMA"..."Rangers"...and Buddy Rich's stamina complexity, whirlwind playing even at 61 years old and obvious supremacy over Bonham's ability etc... Care to put your foot in your mouth more? Cut your losses & keep quiet dope.

  • @Muzicification Ha Ha..my ass....I SEEN HIM WITH MY OWN FUCKING EYES USE 'LOGS'....it's a WELL KNOWN fact about Bonham..the fact you didn't know tells me everything about who I am dealing with....do I need to google it and copy and fucking paste a well established FACT....6b's MY ASS....do some research, fool

As for being a Ranger..I spent SIX years in Rangers 1/75....no one had a 82nd patch on FOOL.....and Martial arts??!!??..we learned some "Judo" if ya want to call it that...cont

  • @Muzicification I don't know if you EVER watched MMA...but almost ZERO martial arts being used, IDIOT...SOMETIMES a round house...but it "fighting" down and dirty..PERIOD......All you fucking FAKE "black belts" would get slaughtered in seconds...I know a 9 year old "black belt" think he can hang in the Octagon, FOOL???...that's why it called an ART....ART. a fake representation of reality....I have been in combat..I have unfortunately killed several men.....no one struck a karate pose IDIOT...

  • @mjw9363 Oh my God..you are a King Kong IDIOT dude. Did you LOOK "with your own eyes" as you say..at the VIDEOS of Zep in 1969 where Bonham is using thin pencil type jazz sticks? Not LOGS - 2-B's. What's your excuse this time? And that kit in 1969 WAS BONHAM's OWN..yes OWN kit..his TAN Ludwigs with 26 inch Bass drum that he had for a few years prior. See the LUDWIG emblem on the bass drum too by the way. NOT BORROWED! Check out Zep 1969 in PARIS, he ALSO is using HIS tan kit there. A-1 MORON.

  • @Muzicification ohh...because Ludwig is on the kit it MUST be his....wow..thanks for clearing that up, Man.......

Aren't you the IDIOT who said Bonham was a "good" drummer..LOL....and you're right...Bonham isn't FAMOUS for using the biggest sticks on the market.....and although I COULDN'T find ANY Rich playing complex time signatures...I'm sure your right on that, too...just like a relative who was in 82nd AA AND The Rangers at the same time (lmfao)...

  • @mjw9363 NO dipshit, NOT only because Ludwig is on the kit..that's just an EXTRA to underline the fact it was kit. The main thing is that it is HIS tan Ludwig kit which if you KNEW ANYTHING about Bonham..you would have KNOWN that. it's the SAME tan Ludwig set with 26in.bass drum he used in recording sessions with JPJ & Page on Donovan's recordings AND at the end of his stint with the Band of Joy!

Eat that. (& YES! My brother was in the 82nd AIRBORNE out of Ft. Bragg and WAS an ARMY RANGER.

  • @Muzicification You know what Bonham was famous for???...use of the single kick...unmatched in drumming history that right foot.....guess what...Rich..like almost ALL drummers used a DOUBLE kick...he's well know for it, as a matter of fact.......you are so transparently ignorant of drumming, Dude..it's laughable.....There is a GOOD fucking reason why Bonham is consistently voted the greatest drummer of all times...then Pert...then Moon..But lo and behold YOU know more than the vast world..

  • @mjw9363 You = never killed several men. YOU = never saw Zep live. You LIED BEFORE on a guitar post to some dude who CAUGHT your stupid lies when you claimed to be the guitarist in the video when prior you had just stated to someone else that "that guy" in the video was this and that. YOU = LIE FOR A LIVING on YOUTUBE as you have no life. And FYI >> Any Army can go to Ranger school and become a Ranger if they complete Ranger training. My brother did it and he is 82nd.Can be 101st, 82nd etc DOPE

  • @Muzicification I served in Afghanistan from 2001 to 2004.( I retired from the Army in 2004 at 38)..I have a Combat Badge (look it up) for direct combat in a fire fight from less than 40ft away..I CAN SHOW YOU DOUCHE...if I feel like taking a photo and all the bull to post it....I saw Led Zeppelin in 1977 at the age of 14 at The ASU Activity Center in Tempe Arizona.....never said that was me in the Videos on my Channel.....I AM on some of the guitar videos but not the first 10 or so

  • @mjw9363 I don't care about your military tales/lies..or whatnot....the point is you are WRONG. You fail to address you previous comments and my correcting you which shows you have poor character and cannot admit when you are wrong. Further, RICh hated double bass drums and thought they were a flashy bit of gimmicky playing which is why he almost NEVER played them. He was INCREDIBLE on the single bass, doing triplets etc. And WHO rated Bonham BEST DRUMMER OF ALL TIME? >>Maybe "rock" drummer.

  • @Muzicification Want proof of my military service PUNK!??....and you JUST proved you're NOT a drummer FOOL...didn't say "double Bass"...said "double Kick"...guess you'll have to Google what a Single vs double kick is...Bonham is the KING of the single Kick....DOUBLE BASS...what a fucking FOOL...try Double Kick you non playing the Drums fucking LIAR......and who rated Bonham as the greatest DRUMMER of all times???...Oh...I don't know...just about EVERYONE IDIOT......hang on for the links..lmfao

  • @mjw9363 I said "DOUBLE BASS".....THAT is short for DOUBLE BASS DRUMS.......MORON.

Not every drummer uses double "kick" for their drumming lingo. MORON. I see you have nothing to comment on regarding the things I proved you wrong on...so you are now picking at words like "bass drum" vs. saying "kick drum"??? Oh man. A sore loser huh?

And note the THIN drumsticks Bonham uses at the 1969 gigs on Youtube and then note his speed in fills. Rich used the same size sticks & was WAY faster. Fool.

  • @Muzicification Yeah..you said double bass...that's MORON for having two bass drums which a lot of guys do...any drummer would of known instantly what I meant by single or double KICK.....Rich uses (like most) a DOUBLE KICK...Bonham is world renown for his amazing ability to do with a singlw kick what all drummers need a single kick to do...and DUDE...almost EVERY poll has Bonham as NUMBER ONE (what did you say??..he was "good"lmfao)..do I really need to send them to ya...oh rich is up there

  • @mjw9363 Hahaha...RICH USES a double bass drum??? ahhhh NO!. YOU - LOSER.

RICH in his entire 65 year professional career (yes he was onstage playing in vaudeville with his parents at age FOUR) used a single BASS DRUM for 99.9 percent of his PLAYING TIME!

FOOL. You probably saw a video of him pon Cason on Youtube playing ED SHAUNESSY's double bass drum kit. You = not knowledgable.....and THINK before you TYPE....it will serve you well.

  • @Muzicification What a MORON..I was QUOTING YOU...fuck....I said he used a double KICK...omg..you fucking don't know what a double kick is do you!!!??..a drummer, Huh!!???What a fucking liar and now you been outed for everyone to see here...you fucking are confused on the difference between a double bass and a double kick..I am embarrassed for YOU!!!!...nigh the fuck night.........AND PLEASE GOOGLE "single kick"..and "double kick".....LMFAO at you!!!!..you're a "drummer", huh...yeah..oookkkaaayy

  • @mjw9363 Uhhh...Listen empty skull.....Let me clear things up for you...sad boy, There is a SINGLE KICK DRUM.......and a DOUBLE KICK DRUM...MEANING a SINGLE BASS(drum) and a DOUBLE BASS(drum) et-up as far as the drum KIT goes. Buddy Rich used a SINGLE KICK DRUM set-up 99.999999 percent of his career. Now, if you with your small brain are even INSINUATING one BIT, that Buddy used a Zalmer Twin type double kick PEDAL>>> then you are clearly the biggest ASS on the planet!!! He DIDN'T! THE END.

  • @Muzicification Again..I am embarrassed for you...your trying to wriggle out of being busted not being a drummer....no LOSER...there isn't a single kick "bass Drum"...a KICK is a foot pedal...some have one foot and some allow two feet to be used...like Rich used.like most drummers use.(double)...ya know what...I'm done with you...what did you say up there..not all drummers use that "lingo"..child P-lease...ALL drummers call them single or double KICKS..you thought it meant two bass drums! JOKE!

  • @mjw9363 You obviously didn't read my posts, I didn't DARE think you meant DOUBLE KICK>PEDALS because EVERY DRUMMER KNOWS THAT RICH DIDN'T USE A DOUBLE "KICK" ASSHOLE. Look at EVERY video on YOUTUBE of RICH PLAYING as EXAMPLE >NO DOUBLE KICK ASSHOLE.You are the stupidest, empty skulled moron I believe I have ever known. & yeah, I don't care/read about "double kick" pedals dude. When I was in high school we called them ZALMER Twins. Not "double kicks". That alone should tell you I don't use them.

  • Comment removed

  • @Muzicification QUOTE! "But many great drummers still prefer the single kick, if for no other reason than convenience. Or maybe just to show off their drumming prowess.

One of the techniques that made Led Zeppelin drummer, the late John Bonham, so influential was his ability to play quads (a four-note linear hand/foot combination), using only a single kick drum pedal. Check out the song “Moby Dick” sometime from the film “The Song Remains the Same” to see Bonham in action. It’s inspirational."

  • @mjw9363 ...and you know othing about drums obviously. Just what your lame brain thinks is correct from the few articles you've read on John Bonham in your lifetime. What a sap. Let me enlighten you sappy. What made Bonham great was his STYLE....and how he brought the bass drum work to the forefront in his style of rythymic playing etc. He learned from listening t Buddy..how to make the rock music SWING. And fills and crossovers he took from Buddy. His bass drum stuff is NOT that hard to play.>>

  • @Muzicification a FEW articles!!???..I can send you 100 or more were BONHAM is rated the greatest all time...anyone and every knows it...you've just been caught in a lie and in PURE ignorance....again......all drummers...at least one who aren't in grade or high school know the term "single Kick" or "double Kick"......and informed drummers know of the amazing ability of Bonham's use of a single kick....let's see YOUR or Buddy's Quads with the single kick...you know we WON'T see it..from ANYONE

  • @mjw9363 ....Ah...this moron mjw is back with some more little gibberish and avoiding all the points he got owned on. Uhh..didn't I say TONS of drummers can play Bonham's stuff correctly?...Didn't I say to look at 50% ot more of the Zep cover bands out there and you will see that be OWNED again? I even pointed out one of many drummers who are not in any Zep band and don't even play Zep type music with FASTER SINGLE BASS PEDALS than Bonham.....Sherman Austin on youtube. See his vids. DUMB ASS.

  • @mjw9363 Oh...and tell me the LED ZEPPELIN song where Bonham plays the infamous quads you keep babbling about?

  • @Muzicification Since you can play Bonham beat for beat...let's see YOUR quads using a single kick!!!..you know and I know you and most REAL drummers can't...you're making a fool out of yourself....I just read AGAIN about the pioneering use of the DOUBLE kick used by Rich, you IDIOT...show me ONE example of Rich doing Quads with a double kick...you won't find it.....now..I could of swore, what, you can play Bonham's beat for beat so let's see your quads using a single kick..Child P-lease! LMFAO

  • @mjw9363 Hey idiot. Drummers use the term single bass PEDAL and double base pedal...more than single "kick" double "kick", Just look on youtube to see the proof/frequency of the former. FOOL. You lke to make your own BS rules to prove your paper thin BS opinions don't you? RICH used a double bass DRUM set up a few times in his career and kicked ass at it..but as I said 99% of the time used ONE pedal only with ONE bass drum. Proof..look 99% of his videos here on YT. YOU >> ALWAYS WRONG. Loser.

  • @mjw9363 continued>> As I told you, I can play the whole zep catalog. To prove that Bonham's bass pedal work was not so ASTOUNDING to physically perform as your JHB hero worshipping slef seems to think, look at 50% of the worlds Zep cover bands...all those guys (like me) can play the stuff note perfect. I mean, dude, you have delusions..there are TONS of drummers that have a bass drum foot as fast and FASTER than Bonham. it's only a pedal dude..not brain surgery.See Sherman Austin on YT. u=FOOL

  • @mjw9363 ....By the way....there are loads of drummers like Sherman Austin in the world. Watch his vids. and in particular he has one with the camera DOWN at his feet SHOWING him playing ONE PEDAL on ONE bass drum, faster..actually MUCH faster than Bonham ever did. I mean, the hardest thing Bonham ever did was maybe 2 hits over and over and over again. That's it! ..bump bump..bump bump...bump bump. 1,2 1,2 1,2 ,1,2.

NOT HARD. Often hitting sticks on toms before to give ILLUSION of more B-Drum.

  • @Muzicification Yeah...when you were in grade school and took some drum lessons...oh wait...you can play every beat of The Song Remains The Same....wow!!!...pretty much YOU and John Bonham...too bad Robert and Jimmy didn't know about you...Zeppelin could of stayed together........Dude...come the fuck on

  • @Muzicification Bonham used Ludwig Speed King Pedal throughout his career. His trademark bass drum "triplets," — played interchangeably with doubles and singles — which are most notable in "Good Times Bad Times", were played on a single bass pedal, and not a double bass pedal. Unlike some contemporary drummers, Bonham did not use a double-bass drum kit. He did once own one (it was featured in the demo "Communication Breakdown"), but it was removed from his kit by the rest of the band

  • @mjw9363 uhh..WHY are you telling me what kind of pedal BONHAM USED?? I AM A DRUMMER AND HAVE KNOWN THAT SINCE AROUND 1980. I use a Ludwig Ghost which actually is MORE difficult to play fast than a speed king.( I know because my father had several speed kings which I played for years. But, I can still play Bonham's stuff and faster with my pedal as I have acclimatized to it for decades. See Sherman Austin? GET EDUCATED. GTBT is easy on single pedal. So WHERE are the QUADS in Zeps stuff? SONG!!?

  • @Muzicification Wow..I love hearing about your lying Cyber drumming!!!...and I was thinking since you "can play the entire Zeppelin Catalog" (lmfao) let's see YOUR quads with a single pedal..loved to see that!!!..or even some Triplets!!!...just post a video of you covering Bonzo!!....you know and I know YOU CAN'T....there are very few who could and any real drummer would simply know that.....Do I REALLY need to find examples of Bonzo doing Quads!!?? ANY real drummer would simply know that fact

  • @mjw9363 You = Full of shit. You= Avoiding everything I PROVED to you. You = Changing the subject because you've been proven wrong over & over again & can find nowhere to run or hide.

Cyber drummng? I assure you I can play the zep catalog as tons of people who know me have seen me & heard me. I need not prove it to the likes of you. Like myself, MANY drummers can do single pedal as fast and faster than JHB. AVOID Sherman Austin's vids? No comment?? HAHAHA LOSER. Zep songs with 'quads". WHERE?!

  • @Muzicification

    Words aren't enough.

    Let's see a video .

Show us what you can do.

Three years ago (using another You Tube alias ) you declared that you were a better guitarist than Jimmy Page) and yet "we" have no proof.

  • @Westonelm You are a liar. (Nothing new there). I never declared I was a "better guitarist" than Jimmy Page as I'm surely NOT. If anyone cares to learn a little more about Westonelm see my guitar channel (KeVox7) main page comments. He enjoys as usual, twisting words, twisting facts, attempting to stir the pots of others and basically conjuring up BS.

Get lost and don't let the door hit you in the arse. You've not changed and won't.

Dust is dust. Blow away now in the wind dust-on-elm.

  • @Westonelm ...and I see what an obsessive no life individual you still are...trolling around, sneaking to my channels after so very long. That's quite sick.

  • @Muzicification

I was informed that you were making trouble once more.Your whining rant about me on your KeVox7 channel is highly amusing.

It shows just how hurt you are.....and unable to move on.....yet you are trapped in your make-believe world and I revealed 'that" a long time ago. Embarrassing wasn't it?

  • @Westonelm.. Westonelm attempts to hide the fact that he regularly 'cruises' my channels to see what I am up to. His homosexual tendencies showed themselves years ago on Youtube. Finding out I taught fitness he was always pushing me to make a video of myself and post it on Youtube and he still is isn't he? It's very disturbing and quite creepy. And that is not merely an empty "rant" as you know. It is the fact of YOU. A disturbed fellow living in "Gay" Parree isn't it? Fits you nicely.

  • @Westonelm Oh, "Paree" for those who care...hehe.

  • @Westonelm do ya think you might of been drinking and are mistaken about me sending you LINKS (which I doubt you clicked on)

Sadly, an really informed Classic rock lover and ESPECIALLY a so called "drummer" wouldn't HAVE to show Bonham's KILLER triplets and his amazing one foot Quads...but for a lying POSER..I can see your need for such.....check your "trash"

  • Respond to this video...what a DRUNK...I just read your rant about how I used another You Tube alias to post something 3 fucking years ago!!!??( I am actually giggling right now over your obvious Psychosis)...wow man....wow..is all I can say......Hey???..ever just think some post you read that had a different screen name and was posted 3 years ago..oh, I don't know,....actually been NOT ME!!!????....LMFAO!!!!...wow, Dude...get some help from your Socialist "free" medical...ya need it

  • @mjw9363 Dude...I never said you used another alias to post something 3 years ago. You must be losing your marbles meathead. Learn how to read.

So?....what's the SONG with the quads? That's about THREE times you've avoided that.

You sent me no video that went to trash or anywhere else(as you KNOW because you sent no video)

Forget lying about sending a video. I am making it easy on you. Just name the SONGs for ALL here to read. What is Mr. Liar? Cat got your tongue?

  • @Westonelm See your getting into it with others as well...what a PUNK you are.....and the games are over Fag..I sent you several videos (links)..and like I said before everyone or anyone who really knows their drumming would be well versed about Bonham's use of Triplets and Quads.....you're just simply a sad little pathetic Punk who got schooled and can't admit when they are wrong...now get off the family computer..your Mom need to update her E-Harmony dating site,,,,,,,

  • @Muzicification I just fucking sent you OBVIOUS and well know video of Bonham's use of Quads..why does it NOT surprise me you, the Cyber Drummer, couldn't catch them

also..YOU= gay Punk....YOU= making a fucking ignorant fool of yourself showing the MOST ignorance of Bonham and his place in Drumming lore I have ever had the misfortune to have to read...I am actually embarrassed FOR you

  • @mjw9363 You sent me a video? WHERE? You sent nothing to me. You are obviously lying as I didn't ask you to SEND me something, I just said NAME it. Name the song/s with the infamous quads you're babbling on about. Just SAY it. (Write it). Much easier than sending anything. And let's disprove this new lie about sending me a video....just paste the link or website page address here on a post.

Easy enough right...so?? What is the SONG/s? Say it.

  • @mjw9363 Oh and to address the second part of your blabbing...I never said Bonham didn't have a high place in "drumming lore" as you call it. I have the utmost respect for Bonham and he was a creative rock drumming genius. One of the BEST rock drummers or maybe even THE best rock drummer in known musical history.

What I DID say was that MANY others in this world including myself can play the SINGLE pedal as fast as him. Some of us, like Sherman Austin as one ex. can play it even faster. GOT IT?

  • @Muzicification oh yeah, Moron...what did you say again....Bonham was "good".....what a fool you are, man....and you can use the single pedal as fast as Bonham!!!!!????????....YEAH...okay Buddy,..I'm sure ya can......time to get off Mom's computer now..okay???..but I had a good time talking with you....Now you be a good boy

  • @mjw9363 I said Bonham was perhaps the BEST rock drummer ever. I didn't say he was only "good" in my post you mentally slow dweeb. So, we see the TRUTH. You did not write the name/s of any song/s from Zep which have the "Quads" you were rambling on about.

I asked you. You didn't write it. Easy and quick enough to do right? But you did not do it. So, you are a

BS artist. A LIAR. You lose...AGAIN.

  • @Muzicification God you're annoying..you did INDEED and have disparaged Bonham over and over and you did indeed say he was "ggod"...really??..He's "good"...that, me freind, show how fucking stupid you are...as for those videos and quads..I'm not playing your games anymore, Douchebag.....you should of already been aware of it, anyway....now, wanna look like the LIAR you are??..take a photo of your "kit" with your screen name in the photo and send it too me....you know and I know that won't happen

  • @mjw9363 Send you a photo of my kit?? Haha WHY? Why would I do that? To prove to a moron that I have a drumset? Your excuses and inability to stand up to the facts of things is evident and has been.

Buddy was better than Bonham(and anyone for that matter.) Bonham copied stuff from Buddy (which many have done including me at times.). YOU never sent vids or even left links HERE on a comment for them. Proves you LIE. And > many drummers have a single pedal as fast as JHB. Sherman Austin for one.

  • @mjw9363 ...Oh and I see you have not left ANY of those "ghostly" links you claim to have sent me....on here in a comment. No link here....no address to a page with the " invisible" videos you claim to have sent me. So, what does that tell me? That you are busted. Full of shit.

Please crawl away under some rock.

  • @mjw9363 And as I said dork,I can play the whole Zep catalogue including the SRTS live album and tons of stuff I have on bootleg vinyl for years. I've played his stuff note for note a thousand times in bands. In fact, his only slightly challenging songs on the bass drum were(although quite easy for me at this point)> Good Times Bad Times, Your Time is Gonna Come,I Can't Quit you baby, Moby Dick, Gallows Pole,Achilles Last Stand and Candy Store Rock. That's 7 tunes. Big deal. Been there, done that.

  • @Muzicification OMG!!!..you're SO full of shit!!!!????...so you can use a single kick (have you looked up what that means yet "drummer"?) just like Bonham, Huh!!???....ooookkkkaaayyyy..........you're SO full of shit, Man....and know what strikes me funny "drummer" Man???....A "drummer" who uses a guitar as his Channel photo!!!!....you are such a fucking Liar, man...you don't even drum!!!...ANY drummer who's over 6 knows what a double and single kick are...YOU thought it meant one bass!!! HA HA!!
