Well done, good job. Nice to see young people doing educational and fun stuff. Keep up the electronics and you'll be a master of it by the time your in your twenties.
Cool taser, kudos to you. If you have any bullies in school that bother you, now you can wait till they corner you in the bathroom, aim at the groin and *BANG!* LoL I had one that my uncle sold to me, it ran off of 4 - 9v batteries, it is probably illegal in 48 states so I sold it to someone else, it can probably kill easily, especially a heart shot, I don't know what law enforcement agency would need something like that, probably corrections I would guess, or a cattle rancher maybe.
Where's the 330v coming from? I have 20 camera capacitors joined onto one another, it takes about 2 minutes to charge and gives out a hell of a bang and flash and melts holes in pliers and has blown a stanley blade apart. How did you calculate the voltages?
@RJKHOTS Capacitors hold about 380 volts, if I remember. Depending on the circuit, I think you just multiply 380 by the number of capacitors.
As for mine, the tazer without the capacitor outputs something like 400v, and that comes from the transformer. I haven't tested these with a meter, but these are numbers I have seen on various websites.
Wow, how old are you? "MOM! DAD GUESS WHAT I MADE!" "What did you make?" "A TAZOR!" "WATCH!" *touches it to the plyers* *sparks go flying everywhere* "AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!" xD
i went on instructables and i couldnt find where to make this thing ... and if i do figure out how to make it how do i add the thing that makesd the sparks :P im just starting im getting soldering tools for christmas :)

Plasmana from instructables added the mini gold film capacitor and you did not. What is the difference in adding that mini capacitor?

Man i started doin electric projects since i was 8 and now im 20 and still making projects.
Im really happy to see that im not the only one into technology and staying off drugs.
Keep up the good work!

A Flyback circuit will get the voltage up as high as your capacitor breakdown voltage will allow.... ;)

@spinafire
So I've roughly 7600v... ....nice... I think it might be easier to buy a cattle prod.

crank up the voltage it won't kill you its the amps that do. so you could taze someone with 50,000 volts and they'll be completely fine.

@unknowncritic132 Umm... yes I know that. Did I say otherwise somewhere?

My mom doesn't really like me making dangerous stuff, and my dad says "Oookay... just be careful."

What voltage on the capacitor and where did you get the transformer and how do you make the light light up.

thats raw dude! I tried making a camera tazer myself but it was a complete failure. I might reconsider the camera tazer and make the one u made
