Finally, female abuse of a young man is often not discussed as frequently as male sex offenders, so it is more difficult to estimate. Those, are facts that are cited and backed by actual data.

@postaltraining Actually, not really. I'm Irish, from a country that was,an extremely catholic nation. And, up until the 60s or so, parents would send a son into the seminary if they knew that "marriage wasn't for them" - ie were gay. They thought that if their son wouldn't ever be tempted to marry the priesthood was a great option. Repressed homosexuality and being taught that what they were was evil caused such a build up of inner anger that they took it out on those who trusted them - kids.

In the aforementioned study of 269 child molestation cases, the molester was gay or lesbian in fewer than 1% of the cases. This is because many molesters don't have a sexual orientation because they never developed a capacity for mature sexual relationships with other adults. I expect more from Ph.D.

Bishop Eddie Long has been accused in a civil lawsuit. He has NOT been found guilty of anything in any court of law. Bishop Long has been a vociferous opponent of gay marriage and this is why many gay and lesbian groups are foaming at the mouth hoping and wishing he is found guilty. There are two sides to every story and we have only heard from one side on this issue. Let’s wait for all the evidence to come out before passing judgment.
