i cant do it... ive tried placing famine everywhere.... ive put it where u put it, ive put it behind benton, ive tried putting famine in any safe place i could think of, and there always one grasping darkness that goes and kills it. other than that, it works great

There's nothing wrong with farming the UW in normal mode. People have been doing it from the beginning and still do it today, because Ectoplasm drop rate is the same in both modes.

I can understand if the build is not to your taste but the farm itself is fine.

You're not supposed to fight them - you run past them just like every farm build designed for Smite Crawlers.

You don't kill any Aatxes, you kill Grasping Darknesses and Smite Crawlers. That is what the build is designed to do.

You have to the coldfires have maelstrom that destroys your spells but can be downed with some other skills dont think its worth it and the bladed minotaurs hit way too hard.

AS of Nov15, 08 the Axes will charge you when you take the quest to spawn the nightmares. No Nightmares spawn until you take this quest. (you must take this quest to procede past the first room)

the IA is that you take the q place famine on a save place cast a visage run into mob cast storm chaser and run back cast troll and keep the visages up.

then run to the smithes just aviod the coldfires its easy to do that maybe need some practice

ya uhm your defintly wrong. that is not the way it works. first of all you can take quest without them charging. 2nd of all, the nightmares DO pop up before the quest.... its the only thing that stops the 55 from soloing, although i did figure out how to do it by finding the nightmare checks.

I've tried this but I can't keep those grasping from attacking and killing the famine spirit. In the video around 35 secs you see one wondering off but then it comes back. why?

I actually can't say, you can see it was on the right of me (being more far away from the spirit than all of them) run past in front of me heading to the spirit.

My guess why it gave up was because the rest of his group proceeded to attack me, but why only him who (was the most farthest away from the spirit) decided to go for it I have no idea.

It was an odd thing to happen anyway. Staying close to the wall normally helps.

I'm pretty sure it's 12+1+3 wilderness survival, 12 illusion magic and 3 inspiration magic since those are the only 3 attributes used and physical resistance works good enoegh @ 3 inspiration. Weapons, a -2damage while stanced shield might work best I think (and you get another 8 extra armor from it) combined with a def+5 sword/axe/spear or 20% enchanting.

Probably not, in HM the smites deal more damage, so you'll probably die not being able to keep up your health.

If you are not wearing Sentry Armor (which gives you +10 Armor in Stance) do not attempt to take on multiple groups. Smite groups come in groups of 3, 4 or 5.

7 would easily be possible if you have Sentry Armor, you can see in the video that I took out 5 and still had Illusion of Weakness in effect, which would grant me a huge heal if my health dropped below 25%.

last i checked, hard/normal mode didn't effect ecto drops, but no, probably not able to do hard mode with the amount of defence they have.

hard mode is normally for duo or full teams though, and it's already possible to get like 2-3 ectos per run solo, and that's still pretty nice imo, ty though...

The only skill that is replaceable is the 4th skill Ether Signet, which is only there if the player runs into energy problems.

Sentry Armor is any max armor that carries the Sentry Insignias from the Rune Trader, which gives you +10 Armor when in stance.

Avoid the coldfires just like in every other smite build. They have their own petrol routes that you can avoid, smites do not.

You can easily tank 5 smites if you have Sentry Armour. You can still tank them without, thats why Illusion of Weakness is there, with Sentry Armour it hardly ever goes off.

Well it may work just unsure who would tank.

The monk could tank with 55hp, with the ranger using SV + AV with spirts to help the monk in sum way and OBV Famine :)..

Or the ranger could tank and the monk bond him with life bond etc .... mite aslo be could if the monk went Mo/P or Mo/w for songs and shouts to enable higher hp regen or armour for the ranger... But meh i dunno just spitfireding ideas around lol xD
