  • I love these dogs my brother has 2 very big ones and they are so loving and great watch dogs too...

  • interesting to see that at the end of all the breeding .... the dog looked at the end exactly like a pitbull

  • @TheJasonDR .. yea except way way way bigger.. 100+ pounds.. and have an entire different disposition and intelligence. But yes in both dogs (Dogo/Pitt) the bull terrier contributed by far the most dominant characteristics on LOOKS.

  • @AguilaEmplumada yeah...true pitbulls are small ...compared to this dog .....but this dog is awesome.....people who dont know this dog will obviously think it is a pitbull

  • I live in Northern Ohio and we have alot of coyotes in the area lately. What would a dogo do to a Coyote?

  • @WHERESAMERICAGOIN You are better of with a Irish Wolfhound. By nature, it will roam the area it considers its territory in search of any any wolf/coyote's. And when it finds it, it will go for the throat, and shake to kill it as fast as possible, all with out any orders from you.The Dogo does needs orders to go hunting, like all other dogs. And Dogo's nature is to hold and not kill, just like the Russian Wolfhound.

  • The nature of the Dogo does not seem so contradictory if you understand the pack nature of dogs/wolves. Hostile to outsiders and prey but loyal to pack members, especially the young. Of course, I guess the narrator doesn't understand this.

  • Not to mention if you're so worried about cost - adopt!

  • This is such a great video, wish the ending was here. They don't mention how dorky they are! When we breed him our companions will go for $1,800. Any that are show potential are over $3,000. Alot of them are in rescues because training can be a lot of work if they aren't pig hunting they need to be worked and stimulated in other ways. Mine is a challenge but he's SO worth it!

  • chee

  • Dogo argentino are not for everyone, especially a functional dogo it is going to be dominant and territorial and required a active life style, if not trained or exercise right it is going to be frustrated and become a liability especially functional dogo they can get over 120lbs and be over 27" at shoulder with a bone crushing bite force, witch is the reason why they're is so many dogo at shelters, most people are unaware of what functional dogs are capable of and should stick with a poodle or

  • frm SA TX id paid 50$ 4 mine n he is pure. I LOVE MY DOGO ... BST EVER SOOPER GOOD WITH ALL FAMILY GOOD WITH OTHER DOGS... IM TELLING U BST EVER......

  • lol at the fat Texan hicks XD

  • MY GRANDMOTHER IS GETTING AN ARGENTINE DOGO ONCE HER BOYKIN SPANIEL DIES. THEY ARE LARGE DOGS, SO I WOULDN'T RECOMEND THEM TO SOMEONE WHO DOESN'T WANT 100 LBS OF DOG LAYING ON THEIR LAP OR LEANING AGAINST THEIR LEGS. FOR SOMEBODY WHO LIKES LARGE DOGS, THEY ARE EXCELLENT. JUST BIG.

  • I got mine down here in Puerto Rico from a dogo argentino breeder for only $500 ... it has papers. And its the best dog anyone could ask for. I would recommend this breed to anyone. :) I really like this video!

  • @SullyConSwing is there anyway I may have the number of the breeder maybe email? plz

  • CAZADOR POR EXELENCIA

  • well i knew some guy who was an breeder and i got it for only $1200

  • @phavan22 yea this is around the price i paid for mine.. Im in Canada

  • la potenza del dogo

  • best dog in the world for hunting wild boar in the open. Here is NZ they are a little big for getting through the thick bush but still do an out standing job. Love them

  • wats the estimated price for a male pup

  • como se llama este documental¿?

  • @braiantkd es el documental del National Geographic , seguro ya lo sabias! saludos

  • I have a male dogo x and he is extreamly protective of me and my baby and i also cant walk him anywhere near another dog at all but man he is the altimate hunting machine. This is a great video on them

  • @jmctln you really needed to socialize him when he was younger, thats dangerous.

  • yo tengo un chiuaua asesino

  • Comment removed

  • Such a beautiful breed, i want to buy one when i have a little more money.

  • conocen una raza de perro que case igual que este????

  • igual que el dogo argento? emm... no existe.

  • And you are extremly stupid I take very good care of ma dogs I spend over 300$ a month in food alone, I exersise them all the time, I will not trow them at a chelter because my dogo is a litle dominant and have alergy issue, FYI male dogo's are know for trying to punish other bad behaving dog. That is call dominance.

  • I can't take my dogo to dog parck anymore, he will get in to fight even with bigger dog then him and punk them to.

  • @Aure9000 you are one shity owner my friend.

Because of the owners like you such breeds gets BAD NAME

  • My male dogo is very dominent when around dog he don't know, or at parck.Other then my other dogs,if dogs don't sumit to him he will try to put them back in they're place and fight, evry time he gat in to a fight he did not brake skin, as the other dominent dog will get punk bad in 3 secound and be on the ground in a sudmition position with my dogs theeth around he's neck.

  • these dogs are AWEOSME!

  • I too, love the Dogo Argentino. They're a magnificent animal from start to finish, but they're definitely not a dog for everyone.

  • love dogo!

  • donde puedo encontrar este capitulo entero y en español???????????

  • i bought my dogo after seeing the nat geo episode. I did some research and my dogo was the best purchase. She is perfect. She is super friendly and loves people but doesn't care for any strange noises outside the house. I feel safe and secure with her in my home!

  • ULTIMATE DOG!

  • best dog to guard against humans is the komondor. they look ridiculous, though. I have a Fila Sao Miguel - also a great protection dog. And FYI pittbulls are the worst protection breed out there! Their instincts lend more to being a part of the family and loving people. :)

  • im so pumped im getting mine in two weeks

  • viva argentina y viva el dogo....

  • i would love to have one of these dogs

  • great video i just got a bitch she is 4 months i would like to see the rest of the video can you tell me where to buy it from cheers. mick

  • It's National Geographic's Evolution of the Dog, you can probably find it on their website

  • PERVERS !!!!!

  • aguante el dogo argentino loco!

  • Gentle Soul, Lion Heart!!

    Lov it!!

  • ¡¡ EL PERRO PERFECTO !!

  • I'm very happy to see a video like this representing Dogos. Its unfortunate that there has been to many videos floating around that show them fighting in an illegal manner. I have a dogo of my own that I bought from Raul Zeballos over at Las Pampas Kennels. For those of you who don't know who he is, he introduced the breed to the states. These dogs are simply a joy to own. By the way, does anybody know if you can buy a copy of this show from Nat Geo. I've have been trying to find it.

  • the best dog...DOGO ARGENTINO.

  • TOO BAD

    THIER SO FUCKING

    EXPENSIVE!!

  • Yes, I paid over 3 thousand dollars for mine. However if you don't mind not having papers or pedigree, you can get one for $900 dollars in the USA--Florida.

  • @AguilaEmplumada who the fuck wants papers seriosly what a waste of time an money fuck the kennel club an all the other bullshit its just the rich trying to dictate dog breeding if u cant tell if ur dog is pure or not then ur an idiot

  • @driftkid549 no. if u for example want to travel with ur dog, u need his/hers papers.if u want to enter a contest, u need papers.if u want to sell the dog, u need papers...their more than just a paper

  • @xpaupx dont get a dog if ur gonna sell it or if u dont want the responsibilty

  • @driftkid549 i never said that...?

  • @AguilaEmplumada Got mine for $150. Adopted. 100% pure previous stud, owner surrendered. There are a lot of Dogos that need a good home. Check out Petfinder.

  • if your worried about cost this is not the dog for you and no these dogs are cheap compared to others.and good breeding is well worth the money saved in less vet bills 2k is nothing in vet bills

  • @sparklerbombg Yeah, but you get the best Dog ever outhere.

  • The best dog. The best animal. Thanks Norez Martinez.

  • The perfect dog.

  • actually its not that strange that there docile with the people and other dogs, they were bred to hunt in packs, like foxhounds, and greyhounds are famous for having a high prey drive, but that doesnt mean greyhounds are likey to hunt children.

  • in my country they banned "fighting breeds" and filas are on the list, cuz obviously a breed bred to work with other dogs as a pack is obviously going to make a perfect fighting breed. but they allow staffs ebt n shar peis, go figure

  • i have 3 pits (2 blue 1 red) a yorkie a toy poodle and i had a golden mixed with a chow and my dogo i have now is one of the best breeds to own

  • scince u have that......and everyone debates this fact...which out of your 4 could take a human the best

    just wondering?

    thanks!

  • lol probably the dogo...but the red nose pit was bred more in protection then she was...

  • aguante el dogo carajo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You're an idiot.

  • thanks. when such words come from people like you it feels like a kiss on my chin.

    you the stupid one

  • You don't know what kind of person I am, and this manner of hunting is no worse than fishing. Instead of having sharp claws and teeth, humans are smart, so we use tools to hunt. These dogs are just like a fishing rod or a bear trap. That's what the breed was made for and that's what they love to do.

  • its not as cruel as u think

u have to remember that these dogs were not only bred for it they wear kevlar vests and collars to protect them and the hog is protected by its ridiculously thick skin

the only reason they use dogs in the first place is that its more effective than hunting with guns

they obviously cant shoot the hog with the dogs around so they either use the knife or they just tie it up and take it home

hogs r a cancer to the environment and this is the best way to cure that cancer

  • lol theyre bred for it, its exercise to them...you dont call firefighters and cops human cruelty do u..? no its a dirty job...get over yourself

  • forza dogo , salut toti posesori de dog argentinian din romania si ii invit la partida de vanatoare in vrancea .... numai bine

  • Jeje! es bravo el dogo argentino, pelea con todo

  • Hola, se puede conseguir este video en español?.

    Gracias.

  • very good. the best breed!!!!

  • One of my favourite breed of dogs, but I think that is an inhumane way to kill boars.

  • Whether or not it's "inhumane", it's the only effective way to kill them. The USDA estimates more than $800 million dollars in agricultural damage is caused by feral hogs in the US alone. They're too smart for trapping and cannot be stalked and shot in large enough numbers to cause any effective dent in the population. The dogs are able to find, track, and catch them for the hunters to dispatch. At that point, the knife is safer and more humane for the dogs and people than flying bullets.

  • Great Video.

  • best vid on the net obout the dogo!
