I was able to shave almost exactly 3 seconds off this time (meaning 38 and change). Here's how I did it:
Phase 1: I instant-punched against his taunt, making him block it and move to his jab faster. Made up for it by claiming both stars from the counter, then starred his hook for the KD.
Phase 2: Same strategy. Countered the hook, and aimed for the earliest for the star to hit in the taunt.
Phase 3: Countered first hook, dodged second, then waited for the taunt to claim the KO.
Now, when I refer to the instant punch, I mean the MTPO trick of holding a button (or combination) as the fight starts to immediately throw a hook/jab.
