@dexx2233 Yer, i cant read music i just listen to songs and then play them, thats a cool cab. Does it run off a lazer disk, or cd? or has it got a hdd or ssd?

ah cool, the machine runs on 2 cd's..

1st mix runs on 1 program and 1 mixed (CDDA/DATA) CD

2nd and 3rd mix runs on 1 program disc and 1 CDDA disc. ;)

And whould the machine be able to sucsessfully boot stepmania or any of the other manias, oviasly with a controller fault?

when i boot it without a disk.. the bootrom shows me ATAPI ERROR!!! and you hear a warning sound.. aka ALARM!! HONK HONK!!

ehm.. it's not a pc... it's called a Konami Firebeat system with parts as..

2 cdrom players other games are using a cd an dvd rom player (pop'n music)

a mainboard and extended board with MIDI (keyboardmania) a stripped MU100B for the keyboard sound :-) and 3 PSU's for controlling the lights etc etc..

so, NO... you can't install stepmania on it :-(

its nice to be able to talk to someone bout stuf like that. I went into arcade once and they hadent booted the machines yet, do my dad asked them to turn them on and it was like heaven! :) (sounding very nerdy there) :)

@dexx2233 yes i did, its a real cool system! if you had a real keyboard maby you could plug the midi from the arcade keyboard (if it had one) into the real one and play a lovely song! lol :)

hehe, i have a REAL keyboard too, a Yamaha PSR-S900.. i can connect it to the machine, BUT!!!.. i can only play the installed songs :) and the keyboard instruments don't sound good in it.. that is!! because the MU100B is more XG compatible.

yep, i'm getting better, there is also a DOUBLES mode.. so you have to play both keyboards and pay attention to both monitors.. it's horrible :P

@dexx2233 Oh right cool, i might make my own one. You can get it for play station 2 and then plug a keyboard in with a yamaha midi to usb controller!

be careful with this.. there are 2 yamaha usb controllers.. the old one works with KBM on PS2.. the new one doesn't, you better search for the official KBM konami controller... this one works for sure :)

well, there are some like 'sega park' in southampton and um... theres one at vue bowling but most in the uk over here are just casinos!

But sega park is great, i was gona have a go on one of the machines and the guy came and said that the coin op was broke so if i gave him the money he would push the coin button, so i said yes. He asked the same to my friend and he said he wasent having a go but the guy gave him one anyway! he was realy nice chap!

they also have a car sim!

i like to see it :-) we used to have a LOT of arcades in holland back in the 80s and early 90s.. but they are almost gone now :'-(

@Robobbly i got the cd's from KBM 1st mix from mame.. but they are not okay, i'm trying to get the ORIGINAL discs from that one.. i bought the machine with the 2nd mix in it.
