im good friends with the eastern regional director of coors, his name is Scottie Carter, good guy. I met hin and his wife in Hawaii at the 2006 Probowl.
Hey man, you look like you're having a great time! Nice job of holding down the groove with just enough fills!. The video itself was well done, I like what you did with background images. You should solicit for a keyboardist to send you a video of the organ lead while mapping that to your background during the Hammond B-3 solo. Anyway, Great Job!
@twiggymac I don't know about that. It might have been cut up like I cut up my audio, but someone was playing the drums to all these songs. It sounds too fluid to be pieced together - Maybe your right - I don't know for sure.
@tmass101 Well consider yourself a very smart 15 yr old as you have great taste in music. You won't here this kind of art in todays music. I wonder why - where did all of the creative musicians go?
@SonorSonicFan You mean the one that is holding on for dear life. Most of my sticks are like that. Bad habit I guess but thanks for taking the time to write a comment
Killer drumming! You don't miss a single note. Amazing! Also the production value of the video is excellent. I love the kick drum cam. Do you handle the editing yourself? Excellent work.
@TheDrumChannel Yes, I did like it. I'm a professional video producer so I know there is a lot involved to making it look nice. You do a great job with the production. What editing program do you use? I mainly use Edius.
ahh, I knew if I searched long enough I could find someone that played this tune to a tee... Great Job. Loved the video production also. However, don't agree with Coors being no.1, I wouldn't even say within top 10........8-)
@BumpNrun69 Thanks - I didn't really mean to make a Coors plug out of it but it kinda turned out that way. I'll drink whatever is cold on a hot day! Thanks
This is without a doubt the best video of this song on youtube,,,,,dude,,,,dam,,,,I might actually start drinking coors if it will make me play like this!!!!!!!!!!all bs aside,,,one hell of a cover bro!!!!!!!!!!!!!
any idea what happened to mytwangyguitar's cover? It's doesn't show up in the search and it sounds like the track for this video was replaced with the original.
@Agentus004 - no - I don't know what happened to his version. It was good. I never used the audio from his video cause it was out of time with mine. I just used the picture as best I could. Sam is a great guitarist. I hope to do more with him.
I really enjoyed your post,,,,DAMN,,,you can play the hell outta this song,,,I have played it and played it,,,and don't even come close to your skill,,,,oh well,,,it is still a fun song to play,,,thanks for posting!!!
I love your energy and expression of joy when you play. Seeing you do such a marvelous job with the drums of this song gives me a greater appreciation for the original recording. I don't know if Hashian or Masdea actually recorded the original drums. I also feel tremendous appreciation for some of the great swing and big band percussionists of the 50's who performed from percussion score and then interpretted the energy. That being said, I so enjoy watching you play and you are excellent at it!!
@Mike990920 Thanks Mike - I read that it was a friend of the Guitarists who played the drums on the album. i don't know their name, buyt I'm glad you liked it. I have to do more Boston cause they are such a good band.
this is a great drum cover. you, along with several other drummers on youtube have been a big reason behind me buying my first drum kit (albeit an entry level electronic kit).
love your style and how you look like you're having so much fun when drumming.
@gabrielcoy Wow - great! Thanks so much. I have to start playing more myself - been slackin off lately. Great that you are inspired by You Tube - keep jammin
dude do you have any tips for exercises to improve bass drum coordination with both feet? your suggestions will be most appreciated. I love your playing on this video. I should have some up of my own soon. I just bought myself a digital camcorder. thanks a bunch!
I used to try to do doubles on each foot. Kind of like a double stroke roll with your feet. It's boring but it builds the feet up a lot. Can't wait to see some of your vid's when you get them up there
This new commenting thing sucks! It works - it posts to the wrong line - what's up with that? I wish they would go back to the way it was. I like your Idea and thanks about the rolls!
I was waiting for this comment! Actually I though there would be a lot more. Anything cold when your jammin is good. I was just fooling around in front of the camera and decided to make a little spot out of it. I like your analogy though....
Your skill level is light years beyond mine. Glad to see you got things to work for you. I wish I had a drummer with your skills when I was in a band. Good luck with all you do. *****

Great job on the song, of course! The extra bass drumbeat does make the song a little fuller.
One of my favorite driving songs of all time! I'd sing it in karaoke more, except I feel like a complete idiot just standing up there during the interlude for two & a quarter minutes. LOL!
