  • Did this ever come out on a CD??

My copy of the record is a bit beat up.

  • преубаво

  • thnks Zrinski ....

  • Glad you like this song. Vrlo lepo je :o)

  • juliotxo, you are right regarding this song, however, several others on this LP are sang along with Oktetot Makedonija such as Eleno kerko Eleno, Devojce Jabandice,

    Anyhow excellent choice!

šadrvan is a water fountain in courtyard of mosque

  • Thank you for answering my question:)

  • The song is excellent, but Oktetot Makedonija is not singing along the Duet. I have two Oktetot Makedonija LPs, with the Dimchevski Orkestra, they are very good. Did not know that they had this record with Selimova-Zelchevski. As usual, you have valuable surprises

  • I suspected as much. I think they sing along certain songs o the LP. And on some songs I cannot hear Selimova Zelcevski.. This song is a favourite on the LP.

  • @juliotxo Oktet Makedonija for me is by far the best vokal group in Makedonija. Pure class. My favourite performed by them is Daj da te gledam Done, Donke. Vistinski mevlen za dusha:-).

  • Btw...what does Šadrvanot mean?

  • @zrinski

Šadrvanot, or šadrvan in Serbian (coming from Turkish Şadırvan) is a sort of public fountain with drinkable water. It's purpose is decoration as well as providing water for rituals, they are usually built in front of mosques, but can be found on varios other places.

Also, in some instances Šadrvan means a small river flow, but that's rare and wrong usage of the term...
