  • I didnt see this coming :) Wow is this so different from the Sweet material lol

  • whats up with the other band using this same name [with the chick singer] ??

paddy IS danny hynes and the boys !!!!! any fool knows that.., even here in the states we know paddy.... damn fun music ... by some fine musicians.....

  • This is as much fun to watch as to listen to. You get to see the influences of ZZ Top, David Lee Roth, KISS, Elvis, and others. It is not my favorite cover, but it is a fun cover of the classic song.

  • Bruce looks so un-Brucelike.

  • It was a German girl that put me on to this band 10 years ago. As an Irishman I think the name of the band is genius and I'm proud that German people can feel this affinity for Ireland. But ye miss the point with the music a bit.

  • Not to be confused with a German band 'using' the same name. The copyright belongs to Danny Hynes (c) 1985. This is the real band!!

  • Savannah101 get a sense of humor..Your missing the point!!

  • =:) nice song 1:50 ^^

  • Lol selli just like the leg-kick in blockbuster XD

  • Awesome!

  • Those were the daze... Indeed...

    Cheers!

  • Delilah is the best song they've done.

    Best version ever.

It's on the B-side of the 12" with green green grass.

  • Awesome!

  • This and Tom Jones' versions are good remakes of the Porter Wagoner original hit with this song.

  • ich suche die deutsche variante von paddy goes to holihead :-(((

  • Keep looking, this is the real one.

  • @MilosStr Das Ist die Original Verson und kommt aus England....! ! ! Und Danny Hynes wusste nichts von diesem Namen klau den Er hatte die Band schon seit 1984...! ! !

  • Hugely tongue in cheek. An excellent example of a funtime folk/rock band.

  • Ha ha! I'd forgotten how much fun it was. Haven't seen it for 10 years at least :)

  • my grandad iz on the piano!!! ha ha ive never seen this

  • where is there the connection to the irish folk band Paddy goes to Holyhead(w*w.paddy.d*e) from Germany? or ist it another band with this name?

  • This band fronted by Danny Hynes started in 1984 as Paddy Goes To Holyhead and had the name registrated. A couple of years later a German band took the same name and wouldn't change it, simple and unfair.

  • Jeff is with The Tremeloes and he looks terrific with them! Great rhythm anywhere he goes!

  • i love it!!!!!

  • You know it Hon'! *LOL* Can't believe how hysterical this is! I hardly recognize Phil these days. Saw some pix of him at a UH reunion. He had a littttle less hair! Don't know where Mal is these days. Bruce looks about the same, and well Andy, I see him often, you know. *GRIN* Jeff isn't still with A.S.Sweet is he? He has the best rhythm in this video, too, and they cut him out of that last guitar two-step! =) Oh, but I didn't mind watching Andy... Well, okay, maybe just a little... {{Hugs}}

  • Mal is well - just a little older, or should I say, mellower? He has joined Slade! Check out his name in MySpace.

  • Mal is singing lead with Slade now.Dave hill does back up

  • I absolutely LOVE this video!! =) I watch it every day, sometimes 5 or 6 times in a row. It cracks me up! After the first 20 times or so, I would still catch something new now and then. *LOL* When someone first mentioned this video to me, I was ready to click off of it after about 30 seconds and go bawl her out, but then I really cracked up when I realized who these guys were and I *KNEW* for SURE that they were all certifiable by then... *ROTFLMAO* =)

  • LOL, was that me, Gigi?

  • omg, that's so funny! luv it!

  • According to Paddygoestoholyhead.com...under the discography section....it says this song was released in 1987! ...hope that helps!

  • It does. Guess I could have looked it up myself, but thanks, though! :)

  • what year was this exactly?

  • I would say 87/88 ....
