my devotee name is govinda...when i was a little girl, i was upset about being given this name because in my little girl mind, it was a "boys name" and i was jealous of my friend krishnaya, for having gotten a prettier name than me. now that i'm all grown up, and am hardly ever called govinda dasi, or govi anymore - i miss it so much. and i feel lucky to have been given such a name.
