  • I've often wondered why their music hasn't been used in many movie soundtracks. They ARE total mood music. Their makes takes your soul to a different place every time. As soon as I hear their music, I'm off in a different world. They're just magic like that. :)

  • @StabbyMcButterPants You are so right about that, Sundays are what Enya wish they were.

  • Favorite part: "And she says, "What's in my palm? ... Read between the lines

Give me something to savor ... Can you do that? ... 'Cause I'll believe anything" Terribly crushing and utterly melodic to my ears and heart!

  • I remember when I used to listen to this cd over and over again on my way from Watertown NY to UMaine to attend graduate school. Purely cathartic....man, I miss those drives!

  • Check out an early version of this song, live in 1990, go to my channel!

  • and not to forget HOPE : ))

  • thank you god for the sundays i dont know where i would be without them, always when i feel no hope i hear there music and it gives me what i need comfort, clarity, feelings : )))))

  • Definitely one of Harriet's best songs. I hate myself for not making a better effort to see them during their last tour.

  • Even now this song haunts me.

  • Her voice is so sweet

  • A song that simply sums up how good the Sundays were...a great band, I love all their songs, they still sound so fresh

  • This song brings back memories of the 1st time I drove from San Diego CA to Portsmouth VA in my brand new 1993 Honda Civic...I remember thinking how beautiful Harriett Wheelers voice complemented this beautiful music...It was a very beautiful drive!

  • I imagine this song playing in the after life. Only the title is changed to "In Heaven"!

Wonderful, beautiful song, I so miss the Sundays

  • Is This Beautiful or what? Harriet is wonderful..But I guess all GOOD things Must come to an end..Much, Much Too soon for The Sundays..I miss them............

  • Incredible song !

  • one of my most memorable Sundays song. 3 albums and they have gone into hiding. Pity but I do appreciate what they have given us. Simply brilliant and intelligent music

  • "You live and you learn you're invisible." <----That line kills me every time.

  • beautifulson by beautiful lady........

  • I love the moods I get from The Sundays. Harriet's voice gets to your heart too; very evocative.

  • voice of an angel

  • Heaven on earth is all ours... here and now...

...You know that heaven on earth is all ours... come on down.

Is that what she sings? I llllllove this song, and that's what I hear. But it doesn't even matter. Simply beautiful.

  • God this brings back memories of College for me! The heartbreak, the joy, that was such a dynamic time for me, and the Sundays were front and center!

    Such a great album!

  • I wore this cassette out. A grip of bands came out back then with singers who wanted to be Harriet Wheeler.

  • IMO, this is The Sundays' best. It seems no other song in their repertoire quite captures the beauty in Harriet's voice as this one does. My only complaint is I wish it were a bit longer!

  • I COULD WRITE loads about this beautiful song its 1 of my all time fav sundays track is ACE !!!!

    BRILLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!

  • Simply put a beautiful song.

  • Awesome track. One of my Top Five The Sunday's songs.

  • Wow......the lyrics are awesome!

  • If I were on my deathbed I would without a doubt choose The Sundays as the last music I would ever hear.

  • Here's Where The Story Ends will be played at my funeral.

  • Oh shayssss

  • I can only respect people who like The Sundays.

  • @8272719 I concur.

  • @8272719 thats weird

  • This is one of my favorite songs. The only reason I was ever lucky enough to hear about the Sundays was the Budweiser Commercial playing 'Wild Horses' with Harriet's ethereal melodic voice in the background.

  • I love this song))

  • Nonsense - I like the Cocteaus a lot, but there's never any passion in Liz's voice. Harriet = different entirely.

  • 100% correct.

Harriet is the type who would cut herself or even throw herself off a cliff for you.

  • @RHutton2710 No passion? I guss that`s subjevctive.

  • Huh??

You could argue influence, but not a rip at all.

  • I have to agree with the above sentiments. I love the Cocteau Twins, but Harriet channels her soul and manages to keep one foot in the ether and one here with her singing, just a bit unlike Liz ever managed.

  • Wow, thats impressive. I didn't think anyone still knew who The Cocteau Twins were. I still think they are amazing and never got the credit they deserved. I never get tired of hearing their angelic voices-

  • Are you kidding? Cocteau Twins were huge when I was in college (UCLA 90-94). I still have the CDs for Blue Bell Knoll, Victorialand and Heaven or Las Vegas in my car.

  • This song is so beautiful... it brings tears to my eyes... and the lyrics are so meaningful... I love this band.

  • I've found this to be The Sundays most haunting song......even 17 years later.

  • ThIs iS a GrEat sOng!!! It RemiNds me Of soMe gReaT tImEs :)

  • This takes me back to the 60's era.

  • SO GOOD. I love the Cocteau Twins and I discovered this band in reference to them.

  • Me, too. I hated when some of the press ridiculously but I guess all too predictably wrote stories of which band was better than the other - not just a matter of personal preference, but that one makes the other suddenly obsolete. So stupid. There's certainly room in my collection for both groups, and I love them both for different reasons.

  • The sound of the Sundays is so unique and beautiful. It has always brought me to a place where I am at total peace. I was left numb by a screwed up childhood and this music always brought me to a place where I finally felt complete. I always listen to this particular song when I need comfort. Something about the music, melody and her beautiful voice really resonates with me. Pure beauty. I wish they would cut another album, all of them are superb.

  • PERFECTION

  • One of the best songs off "Blind", and thats saying something, Cocteau Twins will always be my favourite band, but "Blind" is up there as probably one of my favourite and most listened to albums of the 90`s, never tire of it. Please guys if you read YouTube, I hope one day you will get some music writing blood back in your veins again.....

  • Liz Fraser is God, Harriet Wheeler is her #1 angel.

  • THE BEST EVER.

  • It makes you wonder if David and Harriet ever get on youtube and look at the responses from people over the world? Seriously. I wish they would come back!! The Sundays to me, were better than the Cocteau Twins. Just as Slowdive was betther than My Bloody Valentine. Their lyrics and sound were cleaner and easier to understand. Just my opinion. This is one of my all time faves by The Sundays! Thanks for posting.

  • i always liked Slowdive better too...

  • In a world of amazing Sundays songs... this is the best.

  • It also reminds me of some of the more whimsical stuff the cocteau's sang and played, especially with the background guitar.

  • The Cocteau Twins are the ONLY band worthy of being mentioned in the same breath as The SUNDAYS.

  • I concur. I would listen to both groups in the morning getting ready for school, and i've got to say this song in particular brings me back, vividly, to those crisp fall dawns of my youth. It almost hurts your heart it's so beautiful. This was music folks.

  • i would include the innocence mission on the strength of 'Sorry And Glad Together' and 'One For Sorrow, Two For Joy'.

But 'On Earth' is my favorite song. Many times and tears... Just gorgeous.

  • Dito. When i first played this CD and heard this track cried and then i played it again... and cried again!

It still moves me now, along with a few indigo girls tracks, where are you harriet, please come back to us.

  • Isn't she now teaching English in Scotland?

    WTF?

  • Really? Hmmm interesting.

  • I've got this Harriet Wheeler crush really bad-- come back, The Sundays--- please o please o please--
