  • I never truly liked her F6s - they lack Crystal Bell resonance and clarity.

Ofc very few sang the F6s with bell-like resonance

  • She's alright here, but dang she's like a million times better than that now!

  • Just beautiful around 2:12

  • qui cantava ancora bene

  • Why the hell didn't this get five stars?

  • Seriously, one guy received five stars on Youtube for doing nothing but smoking a pipe. WTF.

  • wow! this is like a totally different dessay!

  • I can reach this f only when I'm doing a specific vocal Exercise. this note is so not humen but of cours that for natalie it was nothing she reached to the note A,

Any way thank you for uplouding this how can you find all of those old thing? bravo!

It's so nice to hear the way she sang when she was young, her voice changed so much!

  • F is not hard to reach for me, though colorature voices are made that way that only certan people can reach these higher notes.

  • I think this is after 1994 because she said that she began to sing the Queen of the Night in 1994 in Aix-en-Provence...

  • @volcan313 This was from 1991 :)

  • One of my favorite coloratura soprano arias! Very well done! I'd love to be able to sing this myself but I don't have the control it requires to produce those stellar notes!

  • It certainly takes some major control and breath support to pop those F's out perfectly! I've worked on this aria a little, its a killer!

  • I hear you! I can only hit those notes with reverse intonation, so conceivably I could produce them through normal intonation. But it is a killer!

  • Just coming back to this video and saw this comment again... and i'm curious! What's reverse intonation?

  • As I understand it, it is basically breathing in to form the sound. So basically singing backwards. You can get better control on the cords as the air is being inhaled instead of being exhaled. The idea is that if you sing this way and hit a certain note, then you should be able to sing by exhaling to produce the sound. Takes a lot of practice.

    chris

  • Reverse intonation sounds interesting... I should youtube it. Funnily enough, I whistle that way..

  • @sour7lemon Please do sing it. If you're able to hit the F anymore. What's your range out of curiosity?

  • Amazing! Thank You sooo much! Probably her best rendition of this aria ;)

  • I think so too!

  • shere did you find this??

  • where*

  • I was listening to my music on shuffle and it just came up! I don't remember where I found it!

  • ah! hehe :-P you're lucky! he only thing that I have that is very early in her career is Mehul's La Légende de Joseph en Egypte...do you have it?

  • Yeah, I have the whole production video. I haven't been able to get it to play though.. I'm working on that!

  • haha! Josh has the same problem ^^ which is the format?

  • It's some weird encrypted file, im working on breaking it open! Its all legal and everything though, so its not like i illegally obtained it. it SHOULD work!

  • yes it should!

and how did you get it? I want it!
