  • whats the difference between zakk wylde and Jim dunlop?

  • i bought an evh wah and it was nasty, but for only 20 mins. the on/off switch broke. i really expected more durability from it, not only 'cause it's an evh but also 'cause it was $180!the used one i bought in'87 for $40 still works great!

  • A FENDER WITH HUMBUCKERS!

  • from what i hear this zakk wylde wah isnt true bypass , anybody know for sure?

  • Good advice on wah technique.

  • i like the original gcb-95

  • Just got a crybaby bass wah today, most fun I've had with a stapler in years

  • biggest stoner lol CLOSE YO MOUTH! great video but

    really good video

  • This guy says he had to take his standard Dunlop Wah in to get fixed because it kept breaking down.. I bought the Zakk Wah pedal and had to replace it 4 times in 2 and a half months cos that kept breaking, replaced it with a standard Dunlop Wah and have had it now for nearly 3 years without a single problem.

  • He`s 215 lbs....

  • I'm waiting for my wah pedal,so until then I'll search the sweat spot by the ladies ;)

  • I'd go with the cry baby standard. It's the original idea and they haven't change it much

  • I gott admit that I love the ibanez weeping demon WD-7

  • If you wanted the real Zakk tone cheap, just buy a classic crybaby and put like 6 picks in the back with tape and it'll be throatier.

  • you look like that ninja/yoda baby when you play. haha

    that wah pedal is sweeeeeet.

  • what wah would u recommend for a beginner ?

  • do pedals need to be plugged into the guitar or the amp? if it needs to be plugged into an amp would it work for the sp10?

  • as long as the cable works you should be fine.

  • @deserteagle2000

You plug it into the amp than the guitar into the wah >_>

  • @deserteagle2000, you link one cable from the guitar to the wah pedal and another cable from the wah pedal to the input on the amp. For an sp10, all pedals should be connected in this matter. However, some more advanced amplifiers feature an effects loop where some pedals (depending on the effect type) sound better if they are connected by cables to the amp using the effects loop's input and output. All pedals should work with all amps. I hope this helped.

  • @deserteagle2000

This is how you connect pedals:

    Guitar------->Pedal.Input-->Pedal.Output------->Amp

  • It seems like you are new to guitars since it sounds like you have a squier strat pack for now you should keep it simple. To get the effect you need to amplify it. To set it up you need 2 cables one that goes from the guitar to the pedal and from the pedal to the amp. but like i said before you sound like you havent been plying for a while. to get more expensive equipment means you have to be wiling to learn guitar and not give up

    Rock on man

  • they need to be plugged in to both the guitar and amp. if you have more than one pedal (i have the marshall jackhammer distortion pedal and the zakk wylde wah), you plug your guitar into the distortion, distortion into wah, and wah into amplifier. that's the best setup for the best sound. hope this helps.

  • @deserteagle2000 you plug the guitar cable into the input side of the wah then put a second cable from the output of the wah into the input of the sp 10, my mate has a squier sp 10 amp and he uses his vox wah through it, i love the way the little sp 10 sounds with it, btw dont use the sp10s dirty channel, just turn the clean channel up to full, has a very cool liek jack white (white stripes) esque tone.

  • @deserteagle2000 the amp or other effects but does youre amp have a pedal input?

  • yeah you run the guitar cable into the pedal and then another cable into your amp

  • I'd say go with the 95Q guys.

No switches to worry about breaking (that was always a huge issue for me)

It activates as soon as you place your foot on the pedal (spring loaded, works like a refridgerator light. Just like the Morley wahs.)

Sounds like the Original Crybaby but with a Q control and Boost. (volume knob for boost as well) Just got it today. Pure awesomeness.

  • I'd add what's nice about the 95q is that the Q / boost controls are on the side instead of the bottom. It doesn't have the wide sweep control that the 595q does but once I set a wah I usually keep it there (not gunna change at a show or something right?)

  • He stares into your soul when he plays

  • Hey, great review man! I like your perspective on durability, etc.

I'm excited to get one of these!

  • might i recommend the dunlop crybaby 535q? it's amazing

  • It makes me yawn when I play kirk's wah

  • is the adjustment only with this wah or the same with dunlops, just curious if my crybaby has it

  • @rgjmce666 its only the zakk wilde model

  • I love how this guy starts talking while he's playing and then he just stops in the middle of a word and gets the feeling of the sound :P

  • I'm not the only person that noticed that!

A couple of weeks ago me and my friends were watching one of his other videos (the Les Paul comparison video) and we were laughing our asses off when he did that.

The way he says "sus-AIN" became a catchphrase for quite a few days.

  • WTF is with all the positive comment points... Btw, love these crybaby wah pedals

  • i dont have a wah but i want 1

  • @ryanmccz get one!!

  • in poland good wah pedal is about 300 zł but in $ it can be 100$

  • anywhere from like $150-$200

  • bout 110 pounds i dont know about dollars but for a decent one like a zakk wylde or a dimebag 100 quid

  • 50-125$

    (is a good one)

  • He got Wah Wah syndrome :P

  • dont we all :P i like wah so much i dont have it but i intend to buy one as soon as i buy new guitar

  • You have used David which Distortion as you with zakk wylde wah has played?

  • This isn't all that relevant to the wah, but I really like the Big Apply Strats. I wish they were still around.

  • Hi!, i need help , i got a cry baby wah and i connected it with a 9v adaptor with 2 chords leading from my amp to the wah and then the guitar.. but i cant hear any wah?!

all i can do is use the wah switch as a power switch. so when i press the button it turns off(no sound) when i press again, i hear normal sound from my amp.

  • @90kulu33 put in a battery in the wah :D

    or connect it viceversa

  • Stupid Face, but nice playing and video :)

  • Should I buy the Dunlop Original Wah or the Rocktron Classic Wah?

    Any suggestions?

  • dunlop. i got one a little over a week ago... its sick

  • Dunlop...Thats classic.

  • get the Dunlop wah with the Italian fasel inductor, I don't remember the exact name

  • i would get a dunlop original wah for the money, but if you whant a really good wah,get a zak wylde or eddie van hallen wah

  • Or a dimebag wah. Awesome pedal.

  • i like crybabies but that is just me

  • I myself would be getting the Dunlop, but my suggestion is watch some videos on both and see which sound is cooler to you.

  • Dunlop wah's are always good. I don't know about Rocktron, but always try new equipment in the shop. The sound I like you might hate.

  • buy whatever sounds best to you.

  • Dunlop is more smooth, Rocktron classic is more for the versions of todays rock.

  • any dunlop wah is good

  • Vox wah

    best wah ive ever use

  • dunlop original cry baby wah wins every time

  • Most Definate.Origonal crybaby just bought mine yesterday and couldn't be more happier!

  • Dave is my favorite guitar teacher.

  • i'm in the market for a wah pedal and i was wondering how the Weeping Demon (Ibanez) wah pedal is? Any comments or other pedals i should take a look at?

  • original crybaby wah doesnt get any better

  • what was that chord progression?

  • B7, E7add9, B7, F(sharp)add9, E7add9, B7 XD

  • I have A SW-95 Slash Wah And its pretty good

  • i got a Behringer wah. :P

  • get a good distortion pedal place wah in front of distortion and CRANK the bass on the distprtion pedal!!!

works for me, but as far as clean goes idk!

  • open it up and turn the gear a quater turn

    That should fix it perfectly

  • I have this pedal and definitley recommend it!! Its amazing!

  • hey, great vid, do you have any tips for using the Korg ax3g. i just got one and im just playin around with it . thanx

  • i fucken love my wah

wylde wha+wylde overdrive = angels having sex

  • it looks like hes piercing into my soul when he plays

  • how much are they and where do you buy it

  • mine was $120, and guitar center.

  • how much does it cost?

  • 130 at guitar center

  • you can't get tutored on using the wah, you have to experiment with it so that you know where sound like this or like that

  • Finally realised who his voice reminded me of, larry david! can you say "prettayyy prettayyy prettay good"? When I play with Wahs I have to hit the pedal with my elbow or ask my mum, I have the bad horsie and it's way overrated.

  • online1tripleray420, i think zakk wylde does a more complex pedal as well, check that out apparently its pretty complex. There is a whole thing about his spring under his wah pedal and all the dials on the sides. Try that out.

    -Chris92356 aka Christina.

  • love the faces you make man!!! XD good review!

  • whats the best wah i could get thats under $150?

  • ive heard tremonti power wah is one of the best

  • I've got that bad boy....It is seriously good, it takes some getting used to because it has a really wide range, but once you do. it's a guitargasm waiting to happen. =)

  • For those who are looking for Wah pedals make sure you buy one that has fasel that is built into it. Thats gives it a much more fatter and sweeter sound. I have had this pedal for several years and it still sounds the same from when I first bought it.

  • This helped me a lot!

    Thank you:)

  • kirk uses a crybaby from hell on death magnetic i think

  • yo exactly what guitar is that?

  • awesome!

  • this guy is awesome,he does the best reviews.

  • i use cry baby wah wah pedal , my mates picks up the radio with his crappy one ahahahah

  • i have one of does and it's great with my gibson les paul but you make it sound even better. anyone who wants a good thick wah sound should buy this one.

  • i got a morley classic wah... is it a good one? i paid enough for it so i expected a lot of it 2

  • does any one have any suggestions for a wah pedal that has a lot of differant variety of sound?one that is complex?

  • dunlop dime crybaby from hell

got it for christmas after messing around with a lot of other wahs

the dime can get the same tone as the wylde wah and any other crybaby

you can adjust literally everything about it

its a little complicated but its all self explanatory so no worries

handles gain no prob (its a dime pedal!)

and the fasel in it makes it still get a good classic vibe like hendrix

    try it out

    you will never regret it

  • the jimi hendrix crybaby is the best wah pedal overall...

  • this petal he is using really is the best probaly or get a pedal pad and you get like 20 other options

  • look up the Dime "Cowboys From Hell" Wah pedal, it's got tons of stuff

  • RMC (3)

  • dimebag wah.

  • help****alot

  • good video, help alot.

  • What's the best wah-wah pedal for heavy metal?

  • try the zakk wylde or the slash (which has a distortion unit in it for more of a crunchy metal sound) plus you loop it with another distortion or an overdrive then it will sound super metal-ish.

  • the wah is best with classical rock.

  • Without a doubt (for me): Morley!

  • magigaman...ill say the weeping demon by Ibanez...thats wat Herman Lee uss...that guy from dragonforce..with the weeping demon u can make more sounds with and stuff...its really awsome once u found the tone u like

  • hmmm... there's so many... go to the store and ask, and they'll give you a couple of choices and test them out, if they allow, i bet they will...

  • imo weeping demon- only $100, sounds like kirk hammett's wah, is versatile.

or zakk's-original throaty sound, very durable.

    hope this helped! :)

  • I love the dimebag crybaby from hell.
