V- Vendetta is THE POPE.. V = Vatican..! Guy Fawkes day is also called The Pope Day.. this dude is no HERO.. The burning of the parliment house symbolizes- abolish common law -replace it with CANON LAW (no freedom , no rights- just like the times of the Middle Ages when RC Church dominated) Check out The Heirphant Card (Pope Card) in the Tarot deck..The roman numeral "V" is above the Popes head , he holds a cross with 3 horizontal bars in it..its the same symbol is in the movie too!

@2012stargirl Er can I just say that V is not the Pope, or representative of the Pope. The only thing Guy Fawkes and the Pope had in common was that they were both Catholic. V wishes Guy Fawkes to be remembered because he was willing to do something about the current government and stand up for what he believed was right. And how can V not be a hero? He's fighting against facism! A very different situation to when Guy Fawkes made his attempt.

@2012stargirl You numpty... Why do people always go religious or try to dig out some form of conspiracy when it comes to fighting for something? Religion is just a security blanket for adults or is used as an excuse to justify a callous act and conspiracy theories are there for people who just wanna talk about it rather than take action. Just because Paypal sounds like Papal, doesn't mean they're connected. These Rune symbols are in Wingdings/ webdings..In Norse Mythology the warlord God "Odin" - the Hierophant ( means high preist /Pope) was founder of the" Runes". @2012stargirl the swastika has actually been found on decorative pieces dating back to as early as 10,000 BC before the norse gods or the vatican even existed. Though over time, the vatican has incorporated existing symbols and celebration days to help the transition from one religion to another such as pagan religions. That's why there are all these little connections with symbols, gods of old etc.
