to all people asking how; you need a PSP FAT (no other model has the infrared capability), with custom firmware. Download the program and put all the files onto your memory stick inside /psp/game150.

You'll need the 1.5 update for your PSP installed, after getting custom firmware. It's a patch that lets you emulate firmware version 1.5 for older applications. Also PSP FAT only.

first of all it does work! second you need to get the update 1.50 kernal to actually have 1.50 kernal if you go to recovery and just click on 1.50 kernal it wont work because you dont have the update try looking for in in dark alexs page it should be there for the cfw that you have

No matter what CFW you have eg. 3.90 M33 like me, you HAVE TO install the 1.50 Kernal!!!!!!!! for this to work. I have mine working just fine.

Find the brand name (should be on front of TV) in the list and just keep guessing until you get it right (try one model number and if it doesn't control your TV it isn't it). Unless you still have the owners manual (that might have the serial number).

No only on OFW 1.50, No CFWs or OFW higher then that will work (I doubt 1.00 will work either if any PSPs happen to still have that). I have tried on 5.00 and 4.01, but it only works with TM, it gives me the same error you get when you try to use an app that only works with 1.50.

Just finished your video and you do mention the 1.50 kernal add on, but THAT ISN'T 4.01 ITS 1.50 RUNNING OFF OF THE MEMORY STICK NOT THE PSP'S RAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also do you know why the PSP 2000 doesn't have an IR port? Or more importenly why the PSP 1000 does? Because I don't think it uses it for anything. The signal isn't strong enough for multiplayer (plus it has Wifi). Or where they planning somethin for a later FW update that they just didn't get around to?

people wha have the 1.50 kernal installed, this wont woek, if you want something that does the same thing as this, just download ir shell, this comes with all u need. i use it, just searh youtube, it will work on 4.01m33 and m33-2 and a load of others

Any theme I have on my psps come from a site just google custom de psp. The site is in German but you can select English for what you need. You also have to register and that part is free, yay!! You can find any and everything from Flash0 and ctf themes and also gameboots along with sounds and misc.
