I'm trying to decide whether or not to get this game, and could use a few questions answered if thats ok. :)

1. How much of a free roaming element is there? Can i just go outside and take photos of whatever animal i come across?

2. Is it possible to get out of the car and walk across the landscape?

please forgive all my comments but do you play this with any surround sound thing?......that must be even better than a TV only......and when do the missions are they only in specific places example.....the elephant bathing is at this pool only pr any pool in the map?......

@andimk7910 I have a 7.1 surround sound system but it wasn't really tested too hard by this game in particular. Surround sound is better than TV only, but the audio in the game is mostly a background ambience and not particularly important.

The missions will tell you where to find the animals, at least a general area. Some will roam a little bit, while others require certain conditions to appear - they path through the environment or they need you to be in a tree, stuff like that.

also please apart from the fotos your going to get for the mission example......your getting an elephant in water.....however you pass other animals on the way to it.....can you foto anything and have the fotos in the game saved?.......like just take hundreds of fotos of different animals?......or are they awkward with that?......

@andimk7910 You can take pics of anything you want, but you have a limited number of photos you can take before returning to camp to dump them off. It's possible to save them in base camp, but there's not a lot of options for sorting them the way you'd like so you're better off not trying to save too many.

i was going to ask how much area is to explore then at 2:00 saw more area available.....i would like to say your lucky to have this game......i would like to get it but cant find it anywhere......the ambience sounds brilliant.....birds to buzzing flies.....

@andimk7910 I bought it from Hong Kong, as it's region free. You could try getting that version or the one that released in the US. Not sure if it ever released in Europe.

@EricBarbman Nope, just take pictures of them. If you contact them at all, even slightly, with the car it stops it dead and the chick yells at you.

@xreflecti0nsx Climbing a tree is only available in certain missions. There's an indicator by the base of the tree when you can climb it - there's one by a waterhole.

The leader is the big one with the tusks. Go to the shore where you can see them off in the water (north east part of the one zone) and wait for them to come to shore. They'll go into the swampy area, set up and get the shot there.

Yeah - you get introduced to them pretty quickly. I think a cheetah pursuit is one of the first assignments for a big cat.

place for hours and hours and sometimes animals will pass by... or do their thing? or is it they stay in 1 place ish.... and only do things when you have it as a mission objective? please tell me as this could make me decide to get the gorgous game.

You can only go out with a mission objective - there's no free roam, so far as I can recall. You get an area to go to and shortly after the animals show up and do their thing. If you don't get the picture, they might wander back before the day is over. If not, you'll have to return to camp (or put up a tent if you've bought one) and try again the next day.
