Step 4 is not clear, when you say copy to your web site, do you mean (does the joomla files have to placed in a particular directory on my server. where on my server do I copy these files???
I did the installation and deleted the Joomla directory that I uploaded for the installation as you told me.. I clicked the Site button afterwards and it said error 404 - Not found. Your browser can't find the document corresponding to the URL you typed in. What went wrong?
You need to delete the "installation" directory, not the joomla directory! So when you upload all the files, you will get files like these-- "administrator", "components", "libraries", "media", "images", "templates".
There will be one folder that is named, "installation", and that is the folder you want to delete!
If you are having problems installing Joomla I can install it for you for free as long as you host with me. Anyone interested please let me know, I'll have your Joomla site up in 5 minutes and working perfectly.

if u dont have a hosting acount get sumthing like xampp and install it on your pc then you can run joomla
