wow sample mania! thats a lot of unlabeled buttons....

Looks fun but if you don't use more than a few samples / tracks at a time, is it really necessary to get something like this? I can't figure out if this would be practical for recording / performing or if typical MIDI controllers and software for recording, and a nice mixer with lots of sample bays like traktor s4 for djing / mixing it up while performing is really the better way to go.... are super APC's kind of being phased out?

With a controller as complex as that, you really ought to be working with software more along the lines of Reaktor or Max/MSP...

It's designed to work with Ableton though :p

And the controller automatically maps with the software.
