  • This song still gives me butterflies even after 7 years.

  • I agree, where the hell is this SKA...............thsi is pure Boston Punk Rock

  • Sorry But this Isnt Punk!

    This is More Like Ska!!

But I still love these Guys!

  • @Biep44 Where the hell this is ska?

  • this song is TITS! :)

  • Just saw SD in london a few weeks ago it was nice to have a piece of home over here before i deploy

  • There punk, there not any of these freaking sub genres or labels, there a great punk band. Leave it to that.

  • Finally, someone with real insight here.

The band even said before that they hate it when they are labeled one thing or another. Good lookin out man.

  • who gives a fuck what genere they are?!?!?! they still kick ass i want the street dogs offical tat when i'm older.

  • Street Dogs= Working Class Boston Street Punk...... dig it? Check out The Pug Uglies and Jason Bennett And The Resistance

  • whahaha,,working class boston street punk,,haha yeah thats funny:P something like a band i know, they are,,Scandinavian vegan horror deathpunkcore,,,

  • Hey dude, suck my ass OI OI OI

  • you can say oi oi oi,,,and i listen to oi,,but this is just punk:P

yesterday saw these guys,,,amazing! one of the best live shows ive seen

  • BOTH AMAZING BANDS?!?!!!?!? my friends uncle was the bassist for the pugs. is jason bennett was kick ass live

  • why do people really care so much? why get caught up in labels? yes, its punk, but at the end of the day, we all like this, so why argue about what its label is?

  • well,,why is everybody always arguing about the genre..this is just punk,,,this is how pounk sounds nowadays,,,i like it:)

  • street dogs aren't really skate punk

bands like face to face, h2o, bouncing souls, chixdiggit an so on

  • Its not celtic punk. Its punk rock and roll. Do they have irish influences, yes but its not like dropkick murphys. its so pointless to compare both bands cause there not alike at all.

  • How can you say that they are not alike at all? The original singer from DKM is the singer for Street Dogs. So, next time you post a comment on youtube thinking that you're always right, you might wanna go check your facts.

  • No shit sherlock. I know that he was the singer of DKM. You might want to rethink being a smartass and reread my comment. If its not clear enough, musically they are not exactly alike. Influences, yes. Mike McColgan I know was the singer of DKM. Mike even says that both bands are not similar. Fuck sake.

  • According to Street Dogs its Celtic Punk. But who really cares? They rock!

  • Lets put it like this, are some of their songs Celtic Punk. Yeah. I think I made the mistake of not saying that theyre music is a whole mix of differnt styles of punk. Celtic Punk. Punk Rock and Roll. Street Punk. Hardcore in some songs. Its def. not just one genre. I think if you listen to their early stuff, its more of a Punk Rock and Roll feel but as they progressed, they added different things. I just dont catergorize them just as that.

They are awesome. And there my fave band!

  • Who fucking cares what kinda punk rock it is, it's damn perfect, that's all.

  • AW good old decent rock

  • dude i love irish punk

  • They are from Boston, not Ireland

  • wtf? of course there from boston, go to boston, ask the people there where there ancestors are from, MIKE McCOLGAN for fuck sake, think before you talk next time, save everybody some time

  • The style is Irish Punk, it ahs nothing to do witha person's origins

  • Celtic Punk Friend.

    Celtic Punk.

  • amazing voice great fucking band

  • they were fuckin amazing in stl yesterday there live preformance def just earned htem a fan

  • They are opening tonight in Dallas. I've heard they are good live so I'll be looking foward to them.....the Offspring will kick ass though, I can't wait!

  • Wow, I've been feeling really emotionless and depressed. This song actually helps, a lot. I feel better.

  • Going to see them here in Vancouver, BC, along with The Offspring. Should be killer show

  • its just as well mike was a fire fighter cause when they get on stage they set the stage on fire with there performance punx not dead

  • are they comming to ireland soon fucking top band

  • u sent me a message did u mean street dogs where comming to ireland u message got fucked up my fault tanx

  • Wow aw em live- Crazy band THE BEST LIVE BAND EVER! SD

  • Die!

  • Does anyone know what kind of hat that is at 0:49

  • I dont know the exact one, but look up Brixton Ltd. they make all the hats SD wears. i have three of them and they are awesome. that one was either a hooligan or a brood (style that is)

  • it's a scally cap

  • Comment removed

  • I have a great respect for Mccolgan, worked his way up as a working man. From serving in the Gulf War at a young age, to starting Dropkick, and leaving to become a Boston Firefighter? A true blue collar man, Dropkick died when Mccolgan left, but the spirit is carried on in the Street Dogs.

  • I almost wish McColgan was still with the Murphys. His voice has matured nicely and I wish I could hear it over the more complicated rythms, and instruments of the Murphys. But the way it is, I get twice as many kick ass albums.

  • 1:49 is that Joe Gittleman, the bass fiddle man?

  • This video is great.

  • Boston Street Punk Rulez!!!!

  • personaly i think this is one of there best songs.

  • could somebody tell me whta all the street dogs albums are called

  • Savin Hill

    Back To The World

    Fading American Dream

    State Of Grace

  • justpicked up state of grace fucking awesome they keep it coming

  • hell yeah man. great stuff.

  • does neone agree?

    street dogs>drop kick murphys

  • early DKM is just as good as Street Dogs, their newer stuff is great, but Street Dogs > New DKM .. Ken Casey and Mike McClogan are two talanted frontmen. Street Dogs Faded American Dream vs DKM's Warrior's Code? It's a toss up. Both very rocking albums.

  • kick ass song

  • amazing!

  • us irish are an angry bunch. rock on

  • i just started lisstening to these guys there hella good but just wondering are they and irish kinda band like dkm or floging molly

  • Lead singer was the original lead of Dropkick

  • oh ok that explains alot

  • these guys put on the most amazing show ever i saw them with anti-flag in Pittsburgh it was amazing every. band just got so into the show it was almost like an out of body experience

  • I agree, they really are great live. I saw them in Cleveland last night, and the band had so much energy their entire set!! They never disappoint! I really wish I could have seen them with Anti-Flag, that had to have been amazing!!

  • If it wasn't for Flogging Molly I would have to Give Street Dogs the top spot for best live band. But you're rite they put on great shows.

I seen them I Chicago once with FM Then a seen them 2 more times with Bouncing Souls in Chicago and Milwaukee All three shows were great but the FM/SD show was Amazing!

  • eastpak antidote 2008!

  • so looking forward to this and persistance. both great line-ups this year.

  • HELL YEAH!

  • seen them in stoon! never heard of them prior to that.. they were on the main stage..

    Fucking awesome show!

and at the end of the set the singer body surfed all the way to his tent for signing!

    amazing =D

  • I met Toby last night:D

  • ya just saw em last night in MN all very chill dudes awesome music top 3 out all the line up for Warped this year

  • ya is aw em last nighyt at warped before agaisnt me! i met all of street dogs and all of AM! relle kool guys.

  • learn to spell...

  • At warped tour in pittsburgh i caught the drummers drumstick and got it signed by the band, they were fucking awesome

  • Haha fucking lucky!

I saw them and Jersey. I was three feet from the stage and the dude in front got them!

  • I met the lead singer at a show. he was really cool

  • i saw them live for the first time, they were awesome! i touched the lead singer's hand and everything.. :)

  • you must be a girl......

becouse i dont give a shit if i touch some1 his hand xD

  • yeah, i'm a girl. but it's all about the connection--not that i'm like "OMG sO tOtAlLy aWeSoMe!!!"

  • the stage where i saw them had a capacity of 200 people :P Very tiny stage so they were in the crowd before and after..ofcourse thats like 4 years ago :P

  • Saw these guys Live in San Luis Obispo Opening for Social Distortion.. loved them from the first! They rock!

  • Street Dogs are fuckin´ great!

    Greetz from Germany

  • just saw these guys live for the first time and they are fucking sick. Definetly gunna buy there records and see them in september again.

  • this band is pretty good and punk owns all fukers that dont think so

  • well said jewely. I agree 100%

  • It's really a shame the way kids walk around calling themselves "Punk" with their little jingly belts and skinny jeans.

I think it's more of an idea than a fashion identity =p

  • the new album is terrible. i mean, i've been a dogs fan since savin hill's release, but goddamn, they've really gone downhill after BTTW

  • Wow, you were a fan for a whole album. Congratulations, haha.. They're not going downhill.

  • hes my uncle

  • Yeah this is for lostinrage

How the hell is this not punk rock? Just because it isnt four chords shitty as hell and none of the musicians have died of drug overdoses? If you seriously can't see the punk in this music you have no idea what punk music is. Why don't you take your Misfits jacket and Sex pistols c.ds and piss off. You don't belong in our scene. (no offense to either band just using them as an example of your atypical asshole "punk" kid.

  • I met him last friday in Detroit, he gave me a hug and said he was sorry for my buddy just passing.

  • Hmm maybe I'd caught him at a bad time or something.

  • yeah, everyone has times like that. a few nights ago in phili he poured beer on me, gave me a high five, and almost killed himself 3 times

  • When I met him in Denver, he shook my hand talked me and my friend for 20 minutes, signed stuff for us and intrduced us to the whole band. you must have cought in on a bad night

  • hahahahaha the dog, so fucking funny

  • im glad he left DKM, Barr's gravely voice suits the band better but Mike fits in here with SDs style of music kinda

  • Mike McColgan used to be the singer for DKM

  • thank you because nobody knew that....

wow you're such a great help

  • Saw these guys live once before, like a year ago, opening for Flogging Molly. Easily one of the best live bands I've ever seen.

  • Love these guys.

  • the dog always makes me laugh! love the song and band!

  • I saw these guys open up for flogging molly in Montreal Last year and i gotta tell ya, flogging molly couldn't touch these guys on stage, street dogs just pu on too good of a show. I love you street dogs, dont ever change

  • LIke Mike says "Walk up the stairs as one again to decimate this stage." And they do it everytime.

  • dropkick murphys and flogging molly still owns the category.

  • but where would the dropkicks be if it wasnt for mike mccolgan?

and where would flogging molly be if the dropkicks hadnt had all that popularity?

its all a cycle my friend. :)

  • Oh, my god :O

  • it isn't even the same category

  • agreed. Street Dogs are great, but DKM and FM are both way better.

  • FM isn't even the same genre, why relate it. Also, FM sucks, so you lose.

DKM had one good album, I think it was, oh wait was it? Yes, it was Do or Die.

  • Are you fucking kidding me? They are the same Genre i mean folk punk rock. Just because Itunes says one is punk and the other is rock doesn't mean jack shit my friend.

Secondly just because you may not like either band does not mean they are bad. you can dislike something that is still good. David Kings Lyrics fucking own, and dropkick puts out some of the best lives shows i have seen.

So stop pushing your music taste just because you dont like something.

Being close minded will only hurt you

  • lol what i find funny when they put really shitty bands that arent punk in the punk catagory in itunes like fallout boy.... i meen come on punk? i dont think so

  • i tunes has a bad categorization team, but this band IS punk rock.

  • Always good to find a successful troll.

  • bullshit. they all kick ass. drunken lullabies kick ass by flogging molly. and blackout, the gang's all here, and sing it loud, sing it proud are all great albums. secondly, although they're all "punk", they all have distinctive, different sounds so stop comparing them people!

  • agree do or die is Dkm best album, not the same without mike

  • They are all good albums, but i must agree its not the same without mike. I almost soiled my pants of happiness when i heard he was coming back to music. And all of their albums is top of the line!!

  • I have to respectfully disagree. I didn't like the singer as well on Do or Die. I prefer Al. I have to say my favorite is Sing Loud, Sing Proud. I love the Irish sound to it. Blackout's not too shabby either. Just my personal opinion. I was disappointed when they lost Spicy though...

  • Hey Loaf,

Aren't you referring to the Dropkick Murphys? This is a different band.

    Oi! Oi! Oi!

  • It was a comment aimed at someone else talking about Murphys. Trust me, I know the difference. I'm a really big Murphys fan.

  • yeah, but the question is...did you prefer DKM when Mike was with 'em? Or do you actually like Al Barr's "gravelly" vocals?

  • I actually much prefer Al. I just didn't think Mike sounded good. The only songs on Do Or Die that I thought Mike sounded decent on were Finnegans' Wake and Barroom Hero. He sings both of those better than Al does. I still much prefer Al though. That's just my opinion. I just think Mike sounds flat and monotone. That's just me though. I take it you like Mike better?

  • Ehhh, Im kinda like you in the sense that I prefer Mike for some DKM and Al for others. I do prefer Al with DKM over The Bruisers. Mike is more monotone but I think he sings more like an Irishman than Al. But I do like em both =)

  • After Do Or Die, Dropkicks moved to a more celtic sound... Al's influence or just where it went organically, I don't know... but Street Dogs definitely remind me of old Dropkicks... more of a "punker" feel to them. But that's just me... anyways, DKM = Awesome, Street Dogs = Awesome. I'm out

  • @HazardZero thats because mike was the singer for the old dropkicks lol

  • wow dude...you suck

  • With category, you mean genre?? If so; Street Dogs aren't Celtic Punk (except for a few songs), they're Street Punk.. So don't compare them.

  • OH MY GOD

i saw this band live and they played this song and ive loved it but forgot what they were called

  • Saw them last night, I got the singer's autograph!

  • awesome! I never heard of them but now I am a fan! love it! thanks for the post. Where can i get the album in Canada?

  • To everyone who's bashin DKM-Go dtachta an diabhaltu!~Enjoy both bands cause they both rock & U know it. All thats missin is Spicey :)-

  • Watery dropkick

    Darkbuster rules

  • how r the murphys sell outs?

  • .... the departed.

  • ever since mike mccolgan left the group their music became more watered down album by album to grow a more general fan base. They are just not oi punk anymore.

  • It's normal their sound evolved, mccolgan or not. Stop whining and enjoy two great bands, Street Dogs and Dropkick Murphys ^^

  • ummm Dropkick murphys are not sell outs guys, and the reason McColgan left was because he wanted to pursue his dream of being a firefighter, but i guess it didnt workout so he made Street Dogs, either way both bands are fantastic

  • Street Dogs > Dropkick Murphys.

  • fuck yea, theyre way better than those sellouts

  • what a narrow minded opinion...

  • o so its narrow minded to like a band over another? its narrow minded to bash against ppl who dislike bands you like.

  • yes

  • they dont sound irish..they have boston accents...not irish...

  • Gee I wonder why they have Boston accents? Oh wait! They're FROM BOSTON! They are of Irish descent bro, no one said they were from Ireland lol

  • Nah man Marc is from Texas.

  • these guys are a blast live!

  • i bought this album. it might not be the best band (i think real mckenzies gives them a run for there money) but there definetly in the top 5

  • Good song first ive heard of these.

  • HAHAHA little Colin Doherty!

  • lol you say they're not good and you listen to shit like rob zombie ? you dont make any sense

  • I have the same Stiff Little Fingers shirt

  • mike mcColgan makes any band sound good ,the bostonian irish accent is the shit

  • Sorry mate, just had to wonder... I am Irish (born in Downpatrick, live in Dublin now), and I spent a year and a half in Boston (favourite city in Amerikay) and the Boston and Irish accents sound nothing alike. What do you mean by Bostonian Irish accent exactly?

  • people from boston have the most irish sounding accent in the US. if that makes any sense. if youre from the south, like me, you can hear it pretty clearly.

  • You'd have to be born and raised here to understand mate! I've been to your awesome country a few times and I can't tell the Dublin accent from say...a Shannon accent. It's def. regional within the city of Boston, it's hard to explain...

  • best fuckin band period

  • you clearly haven't heard any other band have you? Hahaha

  • lol gotta agree with robzombie21 there

still, i can't say i'm not looking forward to seeing them at groezrock '07

  • Amen! These guys are the best band ever! And robzombie sucks!

  • YEAH THEY ARE=)!!!!!!!!!!
