Ooooh! Renee looks like a heroine straight out of Arthurian legends in this image. She's the Lady of the Lake! So beautiful! Now she just needs to be holding Excalibur, and it would be complete. Of course, it goes without saying that her voice is phenomenal! She could also be a siren!
Oh, this is just excellent. Very unaffected singing. Just a singer getting those notes out without all the glitter. Her natural vocalism has so much nuance and charm, it doesn't need anymore than this. This is the Fleming the world fell in love with.
This is fabulous, and not what we have come to know as typical for Ms. Fleming. There are no sytlistic departures, just fabulous vocalism, and great musciality. What year?
@asdfopera With respect, I like her voice, but I do not like her in any roles and I have thought about that statement before I made it. .. her mannerisms to me, interfere with the interpretation of nearly every opera I love.. Hats off to her raw talent.. I just can't get into her choices, musically and interpretively. this is exquisite.
frankly speaking, i prefer Fleming's earlier recording especially those recording done with Solti. Miss that....
