mmm i wonder if gordon brown and tony blair used that line - "it's all in the wrist..."? Well, Roger Moore wherever you are, your films gave us all happy memories and this song has to be the all time high of them all. FAB!
@adventurerider105 My second favourite. I'm a "die-hard underground electronica fan", but I have View To A Kill on my iPod and blatantly sing along when no-one is about and I have my tunes on. That's my fave, but respect to anyone who loves this as much (if not more) than me. I'm on an all time high.
I hear the next Bond film (Bond23) will be released in 2012. Although Daniel Craig will return again, the producers need to go back and reinvent the charisma, romance, and passion that was so prevalent during the Bond old school years.
@TygerXG2 Mooore carried the the james bond barand in his time however the closest version to bond in term of the nature of the chrachter going by the book has to be dalton
Sir Roger is the only Bond to date to have had a real sense a humour. Brosnan's Bond also displayed some humour (like trying to use a keyboard in Tomorrow Never Dies and then realises its a keyboard with Chinese characters and grins wryly at Michelle Yeoh), but the rest of the Bonds are like humourless zombies. Sir Roger was the best !
@TheIceman567 Yes,I remember that head nod during the car chase. I think either ITV or Channel Five showed the film a couple of weeks ago. (I've seen it many times before that.) But the beginning of FYEO wasn't the car chase,it was the helicopter scene where a man in a wheelchair was remote controlling James's chopper but James manages to take control of it.The car chase came later on, with two black Peugeots trying to push James's Citroen off the road. The French actress Carole Bouquet was yum !
Roger Moore's Bond had to be THE most romantic Bond of all of them even most of the themes written for his Bond movies kind of reflect this ..i think.

@Merlin2Stage2Speed .....true...alot people who complain about the gagdet filled Moore movies forget to realize that they were plot devices too fill the gap in a less high tech world....now that we live in a high tech world (that gets more high tech every year) Bond doesn't require all the gagdets because they are part of the everday world.
@Merlin2Stage2Speed It's so epic to read your post and listen to the music simultaneously. I missed the 80's unfortunately, wasn't around back then but I wish I was!
@Merlin2Stage2Speed Be careful what you wish for... cause without this site or your computer....you wouldn't have access to this song..you would have to catch it on the radio. As far as anything else you said, I'll agree. Technology is like a drug that's dumbing us down faster than ectasy!!!
Gidday there Bigdog! Granted, you're spot on with your point there.
Got to also agree with you about the dumbing-down aspect - back in the 80's there was a stronger spirit of adventure and innovation and the future always held a mystical aspect about it - a stronger hope for the greater good if you like.
And where the bad guys were easier to recognize and truth always won in the end! Today it's just a morass of opinions where truth get's fudged in a sea of grey.
@Merlin2Stage2Speed life is good now you cant selfish and take the world back there because for some the 80's was a horrible moment. maybe life was simpler or was it because in the 80 there wasnt the comunication network there is now. i think the 80 run its course and now its time for 2010's to shine in its greatness.
@Merlin2Stage2Speed We tend to forget about the bad things, and concentrate on the good as we reminisce about the past. But, I'd bet ten years from now that you'd be able to recall things from the present that you might not care too much for now and see some of the positivity it might have.
@Merlin2Stage2Speed The 80's were full of computers (Tandy, Commodore, Apple), it's just that half the population (women) didn't care about them until they could use them to talk.
Hell, the Atari 2600 came out in 1977, and was selling like hotcakes by 1979. I had one and so did every other boy that I knew.
At least 1 in 4 homes in my country (USA) had a microwave oven by the mid-80's.
Every decade is simpler than the next. Why stop at the 1980's? Be a real man and go back to the Stone Age.
@Merlin2Stage2Speed Strange how the world was always better when we were kids and teens, huh? Our parents... their parents. Music, family, food, quality of life ... the world just always "used to be a kinder, simpler place". Jeez... ant that rate the 700's must have been paradise!
@tychonaut , actually, pop culture-wise, the world had gone down the drain. I am grateful for the technologies we have now than in the 80s but you do have to admit that music and movies nowadays are just plain CRAP.
@PungiFungi Fair enough.. but I think you could go time travelling to anytime and people would still be saying the same thing -- "the world was better when I was a kid".

I find it hilarious to see him run after a guy, out of breath. Roger Moore is to Bond what Adam West was to Batman.
