This must have been a trainrain event. One storm after another. When I was in N.C. we got 10.5 inches in a trainrain event. 4 big thunderstorms one after another. Each one would grow and form in the previous spot where the first one formed. On radar it resembled smoke coming from a fire. Wouldn't be surprised if the radar loop showed somewhat the same thing for your area on this day you videoed this. Light rain if you compare it to the monsoons in India. Forecasting still tricky to this day.
Yes, that's pretty much what happened, the storms just lined up right over the city. The line was pretty narrow too. Are as just a few miles to the south of us, which usually get the worst rain, hardly got anything. We got about 7.5 inches I think. The system itself was parked over us for 5 days but this was the only really bad day.
As soon as I got off for my lunch break I took my jeep out and went through the flooded streets. Out here by the airport there was barely any flooding, except I think there was a little bit by 26th st.
omg thats crazy!!! my sister lives down there and today when it happended she was driving and then her car started 2 flot and like 10 fireman had 2 go and get her out becuz she couldnt open her doors becuz the water was 2 high and like a ton of people had 2 and my sis saw some dead guy flooting in the water and when she was at the fire station she had to say there over an hour becuz she could get out or else she would like drrowned and like she heard all these phone of people that were trapped!!
um well when she was driving it was going dow hill and lots of cars were driving where she was going so she went 2 and then when she was at the bottom the lake started to flood more and then it washed her away and ya shes not that dumb
no when she was going down there was only a little bit of rain that is usally there when ever it rains so it wasnt a huge deep puddle but when she was going there was like a river at the top and all this water come out and it went down the hill and then her and like all there cars started to floot but before it was just a normal rode with a little rain on it!!
too bad it didnt sink that shithole of a town into the lake.

I had to miss football practice for this at Gus Anderson field because of this. The fields (or so I heard) was underneath six inches of rain water.
