Shona not meaning to sound nasty but she isnt the strongest understudy/standby london has had, Ashleigh gray and nikki DJ are much better - but having said that she was a great one !

Yeah, me too. I saw Ashleigh and, although she was good, she didn't seem to have that individual spark that makes an Elphaba. Kerry and Alexia are both polar opposites, but they're still very individual, which is why I love them. Shona sounds very individual as well - and she's interested in coming back full time, according to her website.

its the mechanics of the lift... for whatever reason they decided to make her go forward then upwards (maybe to make it look more natural). if you look she isn't walking, as the movement is smooth.

for me what makes her performance so much more special is knowing how many vocal difficulties over the years. My friend is one of her close mates and told me about how she was told she might not be able to barely speak ever again after surgery to her throat and there she is singing the most difficult song in the west end!!! MASS RESPECT. She was by far the best in shout too!
