As an Anesthesiologist who took the Hippocratic Oath to 'do no harm', I have never given anesthesia for an elective abortion.

In medical school, starting with Anatomy Class, we are surrounded by the dignity and respect owed a dead body donated for us scientists to better heal the sick.

I have provided anesthesia for tubal pregnancies where the mother was dying.. One time, the fetus was still moving as it was placed in a dish. Each life is precious.

I like the adoption choice, the most loving.

I actually agree with you, partially, in the sense that I don't believe the LAW should force women to comply. Sets bad precedent. I believe Christians should actively help women to choose life outside the voting booth.

Don't say "[you] have no right to tell people what they can do" because you are telling people what they can do.

I'm not depressed, I was merely writing a story to express ones point of view and possibly gain some attention.

On the other hand I do not believe in ANY late term abortions unless the mother is in jeopardy (if you can't decide in the first few months you're too late). So I partially bite my tongue on the previous post.

However in MANY cases the child ruins the parents chances for a happy life (even though the parent might love the child dearly).

The child might also grow up in poverty losing it's chance at a proper life, or even worse in an abusive home (maybe because the mother has now lost her confidence and believes she can't find a better man).

So what is more important? A persons happiness and sanity or coaxing someone to birth life under these possible (probable) bad conditions where true happiness and sanity are lost for all involved?

Lastly, I'm not sure if you realize it but christians truly live a life of torment, oppression, binding, and even depression. They cover it up with a false happiness in the idea that they're doing something good for Jesus. I believe this is probably the case of most (if not all) christians.

You are probably too wound up in the bible to even realize this on your own. Most of you go around trying to pass your chains around to others necks. Putting them in torment also...

I'd like you to take some time a reflect on the true nature of your faith. You'll conclude the same as I did, you don't really believe on your own, it's almost as if you've been forced to believe (maybe through fear).

You can't go on ruining others lives just because you feel it's the "moral" thing to do. Maybe you need a morality check.

They do NOT come from any god - morals are human created (constantly evolving) and have currently surpassed the bibles primitive standards.

The abortion issue is much simpler. A Christian believes abortion is murder. If you felt the same, you'd try and stop it. Some choose the voting booth. I don't agree with that, personally.

Whether one is going to live an abused or happy or sad or depressed life should have NO part to play in whether one should live or die. Period.

Talk to women who have had abortions. It might help you to understand the premise, even if you don't agree.

thanks, spinners... I agree... the purpose of the YouTube Christian collab was to bring together Christians who were in the midst of "drama" and "divisiveness."

As of yet, there are groups who wish to continue to be divisive, unfortunately... but we carry on! :)
