@evlar10 Yeah, I tried to use music that's representing the new tracks well. So I took the Mario Circuit and Mushroom Gorge music from Mario Kart Wii for Track #1 and #2 and the Wii Sports Resort main theme for Track #3. It's a small effort but it adds a lot of atmosphere!

Search for "Mario Kart 3DS Footage with Music" to hear the original audio track from last years E3 demo.

Smash Bros. Brawl wasn't announced yet for 3DS, I'm not sure the series will ever find its way on handhelds.

Mario Kart Double Dash was so fun and Mario Kart Wii makes me smile.I like Mario Kart so much.The graphics from Mario Kart 3DS reminds me of the Gamecube with Wii Controls which is so cool,I can't wait to get this game. @dragonparty2 the wii version its better for 2 reasons, more players (12) and online, but it doesn´t require any skill to win in 1st place, and if you are skilled enough, blue shell makes lose.

I HOPE this mario kart keeps the 12 ppl online, i doubt it though.

Let's just face it. The N64 version of MK was a beast. But after that MK became rubbish. The blue shell flew instead of being a destructo machine, you couldn't squash people with lightning, and the star had rubbish music.

They really started to dumb the series down after MK64. I only played Mario Kart on the Wii once, ended up throwing the controller down half way through a race because of how terrible it's become. It requires no skill to play and as a consequence there's no true competition and thus no fun.

@IndianaJones664 Here is my rating for MKWii: gameplay: 3.5/5 race tracks: 5/5 (liked how they brought back a lot of the classics as well as adding new ones) items: 2/5 (like you said the way they give you items depending on which place you were in didn't really work as great as in the previous games). This one looks ok though. The tracks looks well designed with vivid colors. I just can't wait to see some of the characters we'll be able to choose. :)

I have mine pre-ordered damm good thing really most stores in the uk are going close to limits for pre-orders and day one allocation game in the uk has a max of 40,000 units for all its shops and this is around the same for the rest of them aswell. what is impressive this is only 229mhz slower than the Wii with both cpu's running at 266mhz and it is actually more powerful than the gamecube in nearly every respect just the underclocked GPU that lets it down.
