  • i got the dano 63 aqua for xmas and it rocks for such a cheap masonite body... it's the killer lipstick pickups on the middle setting... the guitar looks like it came from a barbie and ken rave... a cult clasic for any collector of geek-nerd-weird guitars... and this sea-foam, winto-green mint colour with the plastic adhesive masking tape binding the edges is a treat... mine came with tape sections lifting and that's how they'll stay for posterity, press them down... Love my Dano 63 Aqua!!!

  • does this guitar have a tremolo? If not can install it?

  • @lobotreas No it does'nt have a tremelo. I'm sure one could be fitted though.

  • @NathanStang75 I asked my luthier and his answer was "no,not really".

That's because a Dano is basically a pine frame and masonite top and back. There's nothing much inside the body so there's nothing much for the tremolo, springs, etc, to screw onto. I suppose you could open the guit, fortify the insides and then go for it (possibly with a Bigsby type setup), it's a question of whether it's worth it.

  • @matheesha123 The bridge p/up for the most part, both toward the end.

  • what gauge strings do you use!

I have been using .09's on mine and when they get old (i play a lot so this happens quick) its just loses the tuning and the tone real fast!

should i switch to .10's? any suggestions nebody?

  • @TheChknptpie I personally use 10's but it all depends on your style and what music you play. You should really change the strings more frequently if you play a lot.

  • @TheChknptpie Well, just to put things into perspective -- one of Jimmy Page's main guitars is a Danelectro and he uses .08's.

  • is white summer and black muontain side (jimmy Page)

  • nice i love this guitar, i'm planning to buy one of these is this the jimmy page's guitar? is there also a 12 string version??

  • @ivncdo0809

there is indeed a 12 string version.

  • @ivncdo0809 No the Jimmy Page version has a different bridge, BadAss i think, and is more representative of the original guitar, with concentric volume and tone knobs etc.

  • sweet dude

  • Is that a reissue?

  • It is yes.

  • lascia stare ti prego...

  • i have the same guitar, are you using only a pignose u 7?

  • @pazein Yeah, one of the Danelectro ones in fact.

  • hell yeah black summer white mountainside!!

  • the obvious choice for a song bravo, somebody finally with the sense to play a jimmy number

  • @getupstairstobed

    Cheers thanks.

  • i just got the same guitar sounds great but plays like shit does having it pro set up help?

  • yes a pro set up pretty much guarentees itll never fall out of tune again if its premium setup, thats why for a few hours work its £90...

  • @fakemoz

I guess it would yes but i set mine up my self. Was pretty playable when i got her anyway.

  • nice one - they're great guitars

  • i prefer my dano 56pro but i love the finnish on the paint job on these things. nice sound btw :-)
