i got the dano 63 aqua for xmas and it rocks for such a cheap masonite body... it's the killer lipstick pickups on the middle setting... the guitar looks like it came from a barbie and ken rave... a cult clasic for any collector of geek-nerd-weird guitars... and this sea-foam, winto-green mint colour with the plastic adhesive masking tape binding the edges is a treat... mine came with tape sections lifting and that's how they'll stay for posterity, press them down... Love my Dano 63 Aqua!!!
@NathanStang75 I asked my luthier and his answer was "no,not really".
That's because a Dano is basically a pine frame and masonite top and back. There's nothing much inside the body so there's nothing much for the tremolo, springs, etc, to screw onto. I suppose you could open the guit, fortify the insides and then go for it (possibly with a Bigsby type setup), it's a question of whether it's worth it.
@TheChknptpie I personally use 10's but it all depends on your style and what music you play. You should really change the strings more frequently if you play a lot.
@ivncdo0809 No the Jimmy Page version has a different bridge, BadAss i think, and is more representative of the original guitar, with concentric volume and tone knobs etc.
sombody please tell me why this guitar is so great and played by so many guitar legends but yet so cheap,i wanna save up for 1 but i wanna know if theres anything wrong with it cuz its only about 400 euro

what gauge strings do you use!
I have been using .09's on mine and when they get old (i play a lot so this happens quick) its just loses the tuning and the tone real fast!
should i switch to .10's? any suggestions nebody?

@TheChknptpie Well, just to put things into perspective -- one of Jimmy Page's main guitars is a Danelectro and he uses .08's.
