He ordered lug nuts online but apparently he received the wrong ones and torqued them on. What he actually was doing was striping the bolts and basically the first time he put some stress on them they stripped off. Just f...ing sad to see.
No big deal... I'v seen a car break an outside wheel mid-corner during a hard canyon run, and needless to say it hit the rocks and dirt just a tiny bit.. The wide-open autocross is the single best place to have this happen -- he's lucky it happened to him here, and now he will learn and hopefully never let this happen to him again :) (Or anyone else who's seen the vid).
