run the red postive wire direct to the battery,,,than just use a bonnet switch which grounds when bonnet is open..run the black negative wire to the bonnet switch...

I don't know a lot but I wired my own ///Alpine stereo system in my Avenger so I can tell you that if you want em' to open when you open your doors, that's going to be some tricky custom shit I don't know how to do. Switch is pretty simple though, works just like a light bulb I'd imagine.

@will19121 find the wire that goes to your door switch and determine if its + our -. most are negative and only have one wire coming off the switch (except drivers doors sometimes have more) so you hook the positive up to constant + 12v and hook the - to the door switch and since there all hooked together it should work when you open any of the doors. and if you want to install an over ride to turn them on with the doors closed you just take a switch hook one terminal to the ground and the other

@twintipskis360 there should be a rubber grommit on the fire wall theres usually one on each side like under the hinge for the hood and you could run your wires through there. best way to run wires through it is to use a metal coat hanger, cut the hanger straiten it out and push it through the grommit then find it under the dash use some electric tape and take the wire to the hanger and pull them out through the fire wall and hook it up!

@90tylera if its the led underglow like this with the little control box you cant. well you can but you would still end up turning the control box on after you turn your parking lights on. but ig you want to you could do what i did and cut the wires that go to the tubes and figure out what each of the wires do.

@DrEwBaBy625 Its not the ones with the control box. they just have a switch that the neons connect to, then the switch connects to the battery. There are four wires so two are just accessory wires but I hooked the red up as + and the black as - but they didnt work. I had to extend it using a bigger gauge wire though, but I was told that should not cause conflict.

to skip all that confusion ...just run your wires from the washer lights to the switch one positive one negative side then run another set of small wires pos and neg on the other side of the switch back out to the front pos on batt and neg to chasi..now switch on and off your lights.

@1zxSantoSxz1 well its kinda complicated. but i took the little push button in the door out and igured out what wire turns on when you open it (on mine the switch is a negative so when u open it it sends -12v) then i ran a wire up to where all me other neon wires came in then i ran a wire thats always +12v hooked that to my positives

@1zxSantoSxz1 then hooked the wire from the door switch to my negative. i also put in a switch so you can turn them on with the doors closed. if you do that ur gona want to install a diode on the wire from the door switch that way when u flip it on the door ajar light dosnt come on.

easiest way to do it is just like my neon lights at the feet these would be the same if you wire them to the switch run positive to the batery then neg to a switch. other neon or led do positive to a switch and ground other one.

hey man my car is so low i dont even think it would be smart to install a neon kit on it... im afraid my bulbs will get blown if i hit somethin in my driveway or wahtever... i have a gravel driveway. i cant even get a regular jack under the car thats how low it is so let me know please want to install em but kinda scared would rather sell em to make some money than blow em and lose it haha.

i didnt put it there. idk y but my dad likes to put oil under the hood of all our cars you never know when your just going to run out and need a quart! it dosnt even get that hot tho the bottle isant melted or anything so im not concerned. one time tho in the 03 rendvious the oil like tipped over and was riding on one of the pulleys and it melted a hole in it then oil leaked everywhere but thats the only problem we have ever had with that.

it shouldnt take too long. 2-3 hrs maybe more for your first time. when i did them the first time i wasted my time trying to use the plastic mounting brackets. its a whole lot easier to just use some zip ties and zip tie them under it. maybe ill make a video on how to mount them. then you just have to run the wire back from you battery or just find a power source to tap into such as a cigarette lighter power outlet something of that nature
