I think it's "Death on the Road" DVD(I have all the DVD's but am not 100% which one it's on, but am 100% that DrumEagle is correct...just watch any live Maiden concert and look at Nicko's feet) where they go into this in some detail. Nicko toyed with the double kick for a few tracks but decided to ditch it in the end...as most proper drummers seem to do.

I also have Death on the road, but if you listen to songs like Ghost of the Navigator, The Wicker Man etc there are parts where it clearly sounds like theres double bass. I barely does it, and i actually prefer when there just single. But i guess I'm wrong then, I'm a bassist, not a drummer. Its just like some people think Harris

this is good man! My band just recently played this at a gig and i play drums innit. But yeh Good cover but try and get the chorus bass beat with just one foot. Its not as hard as you think. Just try and get your foot into the rhythm of it. It might not make a lot of sense but you'll eventually figure it out! Keep up the good work!

I agree with you, the bass beat during the chorus is easily slow enough to be played on one foot. Really, the only things that are difficult to play on one foot are the gallop beats he does in songs like Caught Somewhere in Time, The Evil That Men Do, Dream of Mirrors, etc. The rest, even Face in The Sand, if you have a lot of endurance, is pretty easy to play with just one foot.

I usually only use one bass pedal, and this song is pretty easy for one foot.

He only recently started used a double pedal and barely used it in songs and I don't know if he even still uses one. He wasn't too fond of it. He has always been known for using a single pedal, a Ludwig Speed King for a long time. On Brave New World he started using a DW 5000.
