The first time I saw this video, I knew what the song was about, but didn't get the video at all. However, I just sat here after smoking about 3 bowls and watched the video, and I saw so many things that are quick to go by I never saw before, and I realize now that this video projects way too many things to type out in this message. Like it or hate it, the fact that a musician is out there paying attention and writing songs about what's wrong- and CARING about it- is a breath of fresh air! His upbringing is maturing, and I think he has the potential to make a serious impact- different from his pop- but just as strong. Keep it up, Shooter!

If you read the wiki on his dad, his dad was a good friend of James Hetfield of Metalica. You can be a fan, but you don't own a guy's creative vision. Shooter's bio says he's been genre jumping his whole career. And, frankly, you might think more seriously about what the album name, "Putting the "O" back in Country" is actually saying about the country music business. Plus, this looks pretty not-Clear Channel compliant, doesn't it? I think I am a new fan of the man, whatever he plays.
