  • It's been about 3 years since I watched this video, time flies

  • almost same as mine, gtx 260, i5 750@ 2.66ghz, 6 gb ram, 500 gb hd

  • How much money did this pc took?? :o

  • -Terminator: I'm Dooking Fod Sada Connod, I'm Fdend of Hed and dupossed to be hede

    -Police officer: Excuse me???

-Terminator: I'm Dooking Fod Sada Connod, and dupossed to be hede

-Police Officer: Sorry, I can't understand the words you say

    -Terminator: Sada Connod

-Police Officer: It sounds like you gargling or something

    -Terminator: Ahhhh, I'lld be backd

    -Terminator: SADA CONNOD!!!!!

Police Officer: I still can't UNDERSTAND YOU!!!!!!!!! --Barely Digital--

  • not so impressive how it was in early of 09 but still good system, except the video card

  • lol how meny letters are in your password omg .. that must be a joke

  • so your point is...it's fast, perfect for gaming and god of computers right?

  • Nice system.... except for the case :P

All I can think of is an oven (i7 + GTX 480 in a small case lol).

    But nice stuff.

  • What kind of games could just the stock i7 920 processor play?

  • @Backwardsman97 the stock i7 920 can play all games

  • @PeteRoy What about with 3gb of ram and an ATI Radeon HD 5750 - 1GB? :)

  • @Backwardsman97 that can also play all games, might need more ram in the future

  • @PeteRoy Thanks. I was thinking about buying a computer with all that for like $1000 bucks.

  • @Backwardsman97 All games are currently programmed in 32-bit. Even if you're running a 64-bit operating system, the game is still 32-bit if you're playing it. A 32-bit game is limited to 2GB of memory. So as long as you don't have anything in the background consuming RAM, 3GB is more than enough. You'll have that 2GB to dedicate to the game. In the years to come (way down the line probably), there will eventually be 64-bit games (which will be awesome! more RAM for games).

  • @Y2KFreeYaa Game is not limited to use 3Gb of RAM even if it's programmed 32 bit, because game is not the memory controller. Game doesn't itself give orders to Hardware but OS Kernel does. It's only if you run 32-bit OS where maxium ammount of memory bytes is ~4,2Gb and 32 Bit Windows Kernel limits it to ~3Gb and when you got 64 bit Kernel all memory is usable by 32 bit aplications even. Ofcourse there comes limit even with 64 bit, but it's nowhere to reach with current home systems ;)

  • @TheTiikeri This is untrue. Read up on how 32-bit programmed games work (which is all games). They are limited to a specific amount of RAM. Whether or not you run on a 32-bit or 64-bit OS isn't the matter here; natively all games are made on a 32-bit, and are simply allowed to run on 64-bit.

  • @Y2KFreeYaa And so you know, I'm not talking about the limitations of RAM identification on a 32-bit OS. I'm talking about 32-bit programming, and how 32-bit programs interact with any type of OS.

  • are you using Solid state Hard drive ????

  • אתה יהודי?

  • wow the terminator does video reviews

  • my cpu is a neural net processor

  • LOL

  • 1 question can u tell me what power source did u use?

  • 630W

  • @PeteRoy how much was the whole system

    CPU: Core i7 920 2.66Ghz

MB: Intel DX58SO Smackover Socket 1366

    GPU: ASUS GTX 280 OC 1GB GDDR3 512-bit

    PCI Express

    RAM: 6GB 2GBx3 DDR3 1600Mhz GSKILL?

  • i have a 295coop :D

  • @rogue851129 , to answer a question, as I saw the PSU. He is using a Hiper 630W , non 80 plus certified. Still a good PSU though, recommend you go with coolermaster or corsair though.

  • omg intel certificated cpu cooling xDD

  • I think you put the power supply the wrong way =P

  • אתה נשמע ישראלי

  • אני ישראלי

  • you have to set the RAM manually or XMP in the bios (in the intel bios you have to set it to auto to XMP) to get 1600 at 9,9,9,24

  • I think no one should tell anyone what to do with their money. hey its their money...lol

some just like building computers for fun and for gaming...i'm building one right now myself, for gaming, personal usage, etc...nothing wrong if you have the budget or just saved up like me..lol

  • How hot does your CPU get with that stock cooler?

  • I am running I7 920 on stock cooler the cpu runs hot at 58 degrees idle temp.

I need to get an after market fan. (my pc is a little dusty too so temp give or take 2 degrees.)

  • Nice camera work! Especially around 7:00!

  • @Shotgun lol dude just stop because you sound stupid. The people who waste their "Money" on gaming rigs are enthusiasts, which being they like to game/oc but i wouldn't expect you to understand that being u spend 500 on a laptop and 200 on a console....but hey we waste money.

  • Do you guys think i should buy a better video card or a CPU?

  • How the hell could we know?

  • PC Gamers know how to waste money. I can buy a $500 laptop and a $200 game console to fit all my needs.

  • @UnrivaledShogun Theres 3 levels of computer users!

    Everyday Casual User

    Gamer Users

    Enthusiast Users

From what you types youre a Everyday user~

  • @lets566

Well, if Im an "everyday user", thats because its makes no sense to spend $2000 on a computer. All I need in an Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB RAM, Nvidia GT 230M, and 320 GB 7200 rpm hard drive and Windows 7 64-bit. I can get that for $750.

  • @UnrivaledShogun I guess thats you than, Theres different people and different people do different things.

For me expensive computers is a hobby~

People like to play Golf? Fine

I like to throw money into building a computer~

    And I pass on laptops~

    You do what you like~

I feel the need for power and being a Enthusiast is fun to me. Maybe not to you~

And thanks Im a PC gamer~

My new computer build with i9 will be release once it goes gold~

  • @lets

and what do you do with all that power in a computer? I mean it is great to have a powerful processor, but if you only use 10% of the power on average, then what is the point?

  • Being a Enthusiast its just a hobby to see what benchmarks I can get with all the power~

Its just something I do that is consider "fun" for me =)

And yes I like to waste money new parts every 30 days~

Most Enthusiast do it for Benchmarking mainly and if they use it for gaming its forgaming then its for epeen of course~

I rather do this then kill myself with drugs and that cost more!

  • @UnrivaledShogun you never have to do an hardware upgrage for years...

  • @Free

I guess thats a perk. But their enthusiasm for having the most powerful computer will keep them upgrading RAM, HDD, GPU, CPU, Power supple, case, fan, etc. every few months. I buy a $800 computer and don't spend money on it again for 3-4 years.

  • @lets566

everyday casual user since a while now first i think enthusiast over 8 hours a day

still got an enthusiast pc with 5970

  • simple but fast:)

  • HA yes get an i7 920 but for you i suggest you make shure you get an 1156 motherboard! LMao

  • PLEASE SEND MY A MESSAGE OR REPLY SHOUD I GET THE Intel's Core i7 920 THANK YOU

  • you should if u have the money and the need

  • Wazza Pete Pete Pete, i love it when you said i dont have a very nice case because i spent it all on my processor and video card hehe

  • Man that case is loud.

  • i dont have problem with the conf, except for casing and psu.

most of hw used is high end, sure you can afford good casing (full tower recommended). its important for good air circulation, keeps your pc cool especially for long time use. good psu is important, your expensive hardware wont last long with less-than-needed psu. good for you there is some cheap full tower or mid tower but very spacey in the market, and some good psu like corsair tx or hx 650W series can pull 900W at 45C.

  • Damn those fans are noisy! Makes me glad I'm going water cooled. Peace 'n' quiet.

The hard drive cage getting in the way of the GFX card, it's a common problem with Mid sized cases and I've had the same problem myself. I've replaced it with a Full tower, it's huge but theres bags of room now.

  • You dont need that much. Example. 750 watt would work for sli 5970 and overcloced. 1200 watt is not worth only for future proof

  • hmm nice PC like it but dont now what cooling sustem to buy my pc specs are:8GB RAM Corsait,EVGA GTS 250 1GB,INTEL CORE i7 920 2,8ghz not overcloced???

  • im still using stock cooler and not sure what to get instead

  • i got a zalman cnps9900, still runs at 55C in prime. if i were u id go straight to water cooling, and OC that thing!

  • Titan Fenrir is the current best air cooler for a 1366 socket.

  • i get a

    Pentium 2

    Sda ram 128 mb

    videocard 16bit

    hdd 5 gb

    ahahhahhah

  • have Fun Dude......im also thinking to Buy P1

    hahahha

  • @denisagal dude how do are you able to life with that

  • @denisagal Console games compatible... not bad! lol!

  • @denisagal can i have ur pc

  • what power supply do I need. I got following setup:

    i7 920

    gtx 260

    3x 2gb ddr 1333mhz

    3x HDD sata2

    3 fans

at the moment its an 500w 12v 24A power supply.

thanks for maybe answering :) great video tho! 5*

  • and Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 as mainboard.

  • buy 700 w

  • thats a good power supply but i suggest geting at least a 680W if your going to play games with that computer. playing games pull more watts because the components need more watts to run stressful applications like games. if you dont have enough power when you play a game your computer will reboot after a few minutes.

  • way better than that man. get a corsair power supply with atleast 600 watts would be sufficient

  • i am a user of the boards too

  • I will buy a pc that is almost as good as yours but with a Nvidia GeForce GTX295 1932MB DDR3

  • you don't see the point in overclocking! you can gain a little bit of extra time, sometimes time is of the essence and you might need that extra few sec. I did some render test using After Effects and was able to render out a piece of work 15 sec. faster, thats only a small scale render imagine a big long render you would be cutting of quite some time! I overclocked the 920 to 3.5 without a voltage change on that same motherboard, you have a great setup there :)

  • What kind of harddrive do you have? Because its à litlle bit loud

  • WDC WD1600AAJS-22WAA0

  • 160GB is not so much my internal laptop harddrive is 80GB ~74,5GB External from WDC passport 320gb ~298GB

  • what power supply are you using?

  • Hiper 620W or 630W power supply

  • well latest price for core i7 is just 250$

coz ma friend bought it & bought a GTX grafic card

    so i know abt it.......

& that too he bought core i7 processor in INDIA

so u can get wht is itz current price...

  • why does everyone show how good it runs inside the ship, my old nvidia 7600 agp card got great fps on max inside that ship

  • well what was allover cost of it?

    means all hardware

  • maybe around 2000$ I'm not sure.

  • U live in?

well till i think u must B kidding me..........

    coz 2000$...

phew in it u can buy a very good bike

    or something mor Xpensive LOL

    it wud B less...

    i think u dont live in USA..ryt?

It wud B max to max 500$ not mor

  • I bought this 10 months ago in Israel maybe for 1500$ and a few months later I also got a monitor and a Gigabyte 3D Mars case so that's the total yes.

  • ok thatz true

    well LCD monitor is Xpensive

& as u bought this 10 months ago

it may B of this much cost

well which grafic card u hav?

means GTX of how much memory

& do u remember da price?

  • no core i7 system costs 500 dollars, maybe a 1000 or 900 but not 500 dollars.

  • you must be a complete idiot beliveing this whole system iworth $500 For friggen sakes for i7 proccors it cost 300 $ plus plus plus -_-

  • Nice video, command for the fps thingy is r_displayinfo=1 :D

  • I have a i7 920 that can hit 4.5Ghz @ 1.492v with a Cooler Master V-8. ( Air Cooled) It all depends on the batch and each chip is differant.

  • Intel motherboard ?

and u have a crappy CPU cooler buddy.

  • the oem cooler is good enough

  • well, i judge it a cooler by its size. And this one, dont impress me.

But its ok if he will stay on stock clocks. If he will want to do an OC to that baby, it will be at his own risk.

  • then your judgement is bad

The i7-920 (2,66GHz) can be overclocked up to 4GHz with the stock cooler. That's pretty impressive I'd say.

  • No, it can't.

  • stfu and google some i7 reviews

  • Lmao, I have a core i7 at 3.9 GHz. It won't go 4 GHz on air if it isn't stable at that on water.

  • learn2read

    I said "UP TO" 4GHz.

Every CPU overclocks different and yours is shitty then, live with it.

  • You're either trolling, mildly retarded, or both, and I'm willing to bet on the latter.

  • That's all you got to say?

    poor

  • It would seem that you are mildly retarded and trying to troll. :P

  • They have ran the core i7s on 4.2 it's doable, they did it on air. I intend to get liquid cooling and push my bloomfield i7 up to about 3.8 ghz.

  • if they did it, it was with hyperthreading off, but that defeats the purpose.

  • Why would you need to disable hyper threading? I don't see a reason why HT could not keep up with the CPU where HT is part of the IC integration, it's like having a back door on an apartment, the architectural states. having 2 doors does not increase speed as much as accessibility through the CPUs core. Once again I see no reason for HT to be disabled. it's all dependent on IC quality and l1/l2 cache stability. The cooler an IC is the more stable it becomes.

  • Thermal stressing from heat changes can effect lower quality parts on an IC, they slow down the speed of the cache and IC to compensate. that's where core speeds come in. the chips are the same but higher quality chips are marketed at higher speed stability. as well when an IC is cooled it can be partially super conductive. the more head the slower power moves though conductive resistance, that's alot of why the cooler your CPU is the better it runs.

  • 4 ghz maybe watercooled

  • i wanted to get me an i7 but i bought Q9400 2.6Ghz instead. Its much cheaper and its just like around 10% lower performance but 40% cheaper in here

  • zwure is muy wodka?!?

  • That was quite!

  • Wow what a slow post time.

  • yeah im building mine today except waiting for my ram to come lol

  • Smackover is kind of a stupid name, why didn't they call it "Smackdown" instead, lol

  • i wondering if you ot it from ibuypower

  • Enable Vsync,in the drivers. And you won't hear this hi- frequency squeak from videocard. For example when you start Crysis in the begining of demos,Electronic Arts and ect.

  • Good choice man, and it's a nice case, don't be worried about it.You a right ,it's will be better to spend money for good processor and videocard

,and other stuff, especially when cash is limited.

P.S sorry for my bad english.

  • he is not running it with physX ?

  • it is slow......no SDD cards ?? why the fuck 3 different fan's ? and dudeee wtf if you love it so much than not overclock it , and if you do that water cool it.

  • spend your money on a woman

  • You shouldn't have bought that much RAM, you could easily go with only 3 GB, thats the real useful amount to have. 6 GB ram is overkill if you dont use a huge memory consuming program, like photoshop.

  • Lol you sound like you know nothing about computers. I7 builds are made to benifit from triple channel ram, usally in 3x2gb kits. The RAM would perform at the same ratio degree as 1x3gb kits. If your running a game and you have 64 bit os that's gonna take a lot of RAM, and if your multi task suchs as playing a game while installing someonething you will need a lot of RAM.

  • You're so fucking stupid, Goddamn, nigger ! What the fuck is it with you ? Are you retarded ? Guess you haven't learned to read things through, hm ? Guess what, go fuck yourself and, don't botter if you're not reading. Hope you die !Cheers !

  • It makes me sad to see you wish such things on someone who only thinks different than you, get in perspective this is only a comment on a video in youtube, no need to get personal

  • No no, man, that motherfucker tried to be funny and, making me seem stupid , that is personal, if he wanted to start some shit, he got it. Don't come here and comment on me, I'm making a point, don't need nobody to comment on it.

  • The purpose of the comment system in youtube is to allow people to comment on the video saying what they think, so you can voice your opinion that 3GB is enough and he can say that 6GB is good for 64bit, I enjoy reading comments that compliment the video with better information.

  • You must be messed up. The price difference between 3X1 and 3X2 isn't that much. If your getting a i7 and you want to multitask heavly 3GB won't cut it. 6Gb don't cost that much more and will really help your system. Before you start taking and get all racial, know your facts you fucking retard. You don't know fucking shit so just shut the fuck up.

  • Oh, go fuck your punk ass bitch ! Who asked you, hm. rothing else better to do than to read old posts, you must be a low life, or a retard. Why don't you go multitask your momma, or baby sister, hm ?! Watch out for those policeman, too, they like people like you ! Have fun, faggot !

  • MOST ANNOYING ACENT EVER HEARD

  • and i forgot he said so that his case is cheap but he's still happy. you go guy. all you shit hole always comparing your crap instead of commenting on the video.

  • he said something i want everyone to NOTICE. he said "IT PLAYS VERY NICE ,I DON'T KNOW THE FRAME RATE AND I DON'T CARE BECAUSE IT LOOKS GREAT AND PLAY GREAT" so it's all about that. those people always saying i have this i have that ,it's all brain wash. as long as you are happy with what you have. he is happy .i have a core 2 duo mobo ,if i'm happy with my game f%^K the rest.

  • the only thing you could change here must be the GPU.. other then that.. good pc..... :D

    bether then mine hehe

mine is : intel dual core 3.16ghz 1333mhz

    4 gb corsair dominator 1066mhz ram(DDR2)

    gainward radeon 4870 HD GDDR 5 1024mb

    nvidia 750i ftw mB XD

so your pc kind of own mine :D

  • BTW: that $1092 I paid was after shipping. If I need more ram later I'll get it, but don't think I'll need it for a while. I saw no reason to get anything beyond the small motherboard, since next year we'll have much more in the way of video cards that will probably double what we had in January. Some say the 920 is overkill for gaming, I beg to differ, it'll be ready for 3d games in blu-ray next year!!!!

  • Mine; $1092 Core i7 Nzxt Lexa Blackline Tower

  • wow.. ive never seen anyone with a rig like yours using a 450watt PSU.. surprised it works.. cool :)

  • Well ibuypower let's you custom build the tower online, and they let the option of 450W power supply work with other parts in their program. I guess it didn't because they actually sent me a 700w XION power supply at no extra cost after I ordered!!!!!!!! I never tried it w/a 450w, it may have worked, but is not good for the motherboard, too unstable. I made a video of my tower btw. check it.

  • thanks im excited now :)

  • resolution

  • You sound like a sorry ass faggot

  • can you play gta iv with this

  • lol =))

  • GTA 4 works great yes

  • Why wouldn't he be able to play GTA IV?????

  • i can fuck your mother with this.

I bought it today im so happy :)

  • woaw man u need a new case, but so do i so i cant judge.

  • I already have a new case and I made a video about it, it's a Gigabyte 3D Mars, check it out in my channel

  • lol lisp much?

  • myschwettyballs...your name sums it up perfect. Make sure you take a bath before you get your diploma from jerk school. I'm pretty sure you have enough in your life that's screwed up and require your attention than poking fun at others. Someday some one will call you on you attitude and i' sure you won't be LOL..

  • sorry I didn't realize you two were butt buddies

  • Intel Core i7 920

    Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R Motherboard

    Cooler Master Scout midi Case

    Corsair HX 750w PSU

Xfx 4890xxx edt. (upgrading to crossfire when i get the $)

+ cd drive, os, 7200rpm hd.

My question: Can any1 estimate how far i will be able to oc the core i7, with it's stock cooler,

which cpu coolers is recomended for overclocking the core i7 even further, how far would i be able to oc with a better cooler?

    Thx

  • Where did all the fans go?

Two fans for all of that jazz? Not worried about overheating in the summer are we.

    Sweet hardware.

  • I bought a new case this week, I plan to make a video about it.

  • The i-Lord be praised.

Asus Vento 3600 Gaming Chassis here for a case.

  • Have fun with it.

  • I want the new Gateway Pc, Gateway Intel Core i7 920 2.66GHz Computer (FX6801-09H). 12 GB ROOM, 1 TB HDD. Dam of poor.

  • you need to change your case dude that case of yours doesnt look good for i7 atleast get like cm690 or haf 932/922 mid/full tower.

    my specs:

    CPU: Intel Core i7 920 (2.67Ghz)

    MB: Asus P6t

    GPU: 9800GT 512mb

    RAM: 6gb

    OS: Vista 64-bit SP2

    PSU: 700W

on my Vcard i'll be changing it next month with GTX 260 core 216, not planning to go all the way up to GTX 295 im not that hardcore gamer.

  • I can't find a decent case, does the HAF 932/922 have dust filters?

  • No.

Antec 1200 is a decent case, with filters.

I had an Antec 1200, but sold it, and bought HAF 932, because it's more upgradable. And has a good airflow, if you out in 4x 120mm in the side,

  • same my haf 932 is in the post right now gonna get it in 2 weeks is it any good for a i7 gaming rig?

  • Well it's a decent case.. You really have huge upgrade possibilities ...

I got a i7 setup too, and yea, it works well.

But I would the the front fan was a lil bit faster (more RPM) and maybe more ariflow from it. But other than that, this is a great case.

  • how much amperage do you have on the 12v + rail?

  • no idea

  • Coolermaster 1000 is one of the best, award winning.

  • Its Brüno!

  • Which is the better buy?

    intel core2 quad q8200

    6gb of ddr3 mem

    640gb hd

ati radeon hd4350 512mb video card or

    intel core2 quad q6700

    4gb of ddr2 ram

ati or nvidia graphics card 512

    both have 22 inch screens?

  • I cant say I know the answer for that, I think the q6700 is more powerful than the q8200

  • well the q8200 has a 2.33ghz with 1333 fsb and 45nm where as the q6700 is 2.66ghz with 1066fsb and 65nm, so im not sure

  • both are exactly the same only like 3-5 % difference between them i would go with 6700

  • Peteroy what type of monitor is that? how many inches? and how much?

  • That is an LCD TV, it is a Sony Bravia 32 Inch HD Ready 720p

  • are you running the game on the ultra gamesetting?

  • yes, with 1280x768 res

  • you put in more..but he didn't need 6gb ram..

  • all you need is 4 fool 6 to max you probably wont even use half of it... plus you got swap

  • erally doesnt matter

  • try getting the raidmax sagitta, that is a good not very expensive case

  • Hi dude. is that PSU enough for your system???

i have a similar setup and i'm getting BSOD....arrggghh!!! only while gaming!!!

    i7 920, Asus P6t Deluxe, 4 Gig Corsair, GTX 280, 2 HDD, PSU Corsair 620, 1 Optical Drive, 3 x 120mm Fans

  • i am wondering what to buy man..intel i7 920 2.66 GHz or AMD ii x4 940? which one is better for gaming?
