  • Trey Lorenz does the background vocals of Alicia Keys, you see him almost everytime Alicia Keys performs. He's good! :)

  • What ever happened to Trey Lorenz that chile' sho'll can sang...!

  • Effortless and beautiful. I remember hearing this when it first came out and it still rocks.

  • TREY LORENZ KIND OF LOOK LIKE JALEEL WHITE

  • 2:39-2:46...............nuff said!

  • OMG that guy has a freaking whistle register. That was incredible!!!!

  • @bunnybeaner It's a falsetto, not a whistle ^_^

  • @rekupp Hence funny because it's a females-only thing...oh w/e.

  • @bunnybeaner Definitely not true! Some males have flexible enough vocal chords to be able to access the head register and furthermore, the whistle register. Adam Lopez is a great example.

  • They are perfect!

  • trey lorenz killed killed it! gr8 vocalist

  • Oh Mariah is my gurrrl

  • Oh Mariah is my guuurl

  • vixi o neguim num canta, humilha ... !!!

  • legal

  • A woman came out of Trey at 2:40. Look at those hand movements to top it off. haha

  • Is it me or does the backup singer(far left lady) looks like Kelly Price?

  • @Alani0203 it is kelly price and her sister sharne

  • @Alani0203 It is Kelly Price.

  • I miss this Mariah Carey. She is now a drunk, gay diva, slut, and her voice is suffering.

  • @kimchiseoul Listen to her new album ... its beautiful ... idiot

  • WOW...I love this song. Not many people can do justice to anything MJ-related, but Ms. Carey does it very well! Whoo-hoo! :D

  • With much respect and admiration to the Jackson 5's rendition (by the way, RIP Michael Jackson), I feel Mariah and Trey covered "I'll be There" better.

  • I agree, its better because its more mature in this version..

  • btw for the ppl out there she has (or had idk about now) a 7 octave range

  • this was my mom's ringback tone

  • i like this but hate the verse when shes talking about her man finding some1 else and that they better treat him good IT REMINDS ME OF MY EX

  • @wagwan86 it's in the original lyrics???

  • yes i know but when she sings its 4rm a womans point of view, when mike sings it, i dnt hear it the same

  • trey lorenz can sing !!!!

  • I would drag my dog of of it

  • Breathtaking.

  • if you look closely in the background, you'll see a young Kelly Price singing backup. She sang backup for Mariah before becoming a solo act later on.

  • lol and Randy Jackson!

  • you're right, I almost forgot that he did a lot of work with her

  • no version of ill be there that mariah sings today will top this performance! this was truly a magical moment. i miss the 90's!!! her voice sounds Flawless! i Love her!

  • Great Song! Great Live Version! TY!

  • es una poesia

  • Mariah..... This s soooo old and funny the hair and what is she wearing.....

at least it's all about the music.... love this duet. the song is amazing always a highlight....

  • I love the other background singer next to Trey Lorenz, he almost starts laughing @ 2:43

  • Simmons. Also shes an incredible singer.

  • What in the blue hell happened to Mariah since 1992? She seems to have had almost as much plastic surgery as Michael Jackson over the last 17 years.

  • SimuLord, I think her only surgery is a breast enlargement, but not a ridiculous one. She might use a little botox in the forehead, too, and that always makes for an odd look. The real difference comes from being 15 or 20 pounds heavier now. But she still looks very fit, so I think the main thing you're noticing is the aging process.

  • Same thing that happened to you or me or anyone since 1992, she got older. Maybe she had surgery to appease people like you; I don't know, I don't care, she looks just fine to me still.

  • If she was trying to "appease" anyone by looking like a plastic figurine, that's nobody who shares my tastes.

  • nothing to do with how fucked her voice is Today... Look at Aretha, she is old as dirt and signs almost the same way she did 30-35 yrs ago. Even Celine Dion .... Wtf Mariah did idk but talent was not the issue.

  • @blasterboy2288

no one has 5 octave range like mariah soo shut up !!

  • "Had" 5 octave range That is def past tense... Still like her music tho still doing her thing like everyother singer out there but her prime is long gone.

  • People criticizing her for the MJ memorial also need to remember the occasion... she said afterward that she was fighting to keep it together for the entire performance.

  • Absolutely love this, Mariah looks fantastic and a great vocal performance to boot!!!

  • well said arse...this is my fav mariah though..i wanted to marry her lolol

  • Good god, leave the Woman alone, at this moment in time 1992 Mariah was 22 i think, she was at the peak of her powers as a vocalist, her voice was never going to stay this good for her entire career, i'm a massive Paul "pretty boy" McCartney fan from 1964 to 1982 he had the best male vocalist voice i've ever heard i reckon,(my opinion obviously) now when he sings it's cringe worthy, i'm afraid. Remember, guys we ALL get older, and i'm afraid less good at certain things, and singing is 1 of them

  • obviously, you guys, over years your voice change. notice how trey's voice isn't as strong as it was then. it's called getting older. and imagine the stress her voice has been under after years and years of touring, having to hit high notes night after night. lol are you people serious?? lets see any of you do that for 20 years and sound as good as you did when you first started. even at her weakest she sounds better than most people.

  • If on;y she could have done just as well a job at Michael's memorial! I can't believe how much she's...dropped!!!

  • This is the Mariah I remember, she didn;t go justice to her talent at the memorial, prob'ly with good reason tho;

  • This is so amazing. She was such a better singer back here in 92. She's still a great singer of course but these days live she often strains to hit the high notes of her classic songs. Still, it almost becomes a moot point when you think of how good her voice is anyway. I think most people would definitely rather have her voice past it's prime than their own voice at any point in time lol.

  • It's weird, she still tries to sing in that quiet voice like how she sings this song, but it just sounds weak now. I don't think anyone has the courage to tell her that she needs vocal lessons.

  • i just hope we could hear and see the real MARIAH CAREY but no matter what u are still my #1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Just look at the way she sang this... so effortless yet powerful.

But at the MJ Memorial Service, it was "very full of effort" yet sounded so badly. Anyway she apologized afterwards. I accept her apology of course. :)

  • You took the words out of my mouth. This was effortless yet powerful. At the service, it was full of effort and terrible.

  • A shame that Mariah can't sing it like this anymore. Still like her, tho.

  • kelly price is in the background!

  • hi's voice.....Sooo high,

    what a suprisee=)

i think it's special that a man can do such a high voice as Trey Lorenz....Great!!

  • Trey Lorenz was just awesome on this song. His voice is breath taking

  • i agree with you, wish she would hey

  • She should sing this song in the upcoming MICHAEL JACKSON TRIBUTE CONCERT in London. The tribute concert is planned to take place this December.

  • so they are doing it? will it be televised i'm assuming?
