although this film is quite dark and depressing in it's setting, the soundtracks are wonderful and the dancing inspirational. Worth watching just for that.
@lakomnost The soundtrack is ``Staying Alive``, I have it on cassette. I don`t know if you can get it on CD; however it is an absolutely AWESOME soundtrack.
I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!!! I was obsessed with dance movies when I was kid and this was one films my cousin I knew the words, and the moves to, by heart.
This movie is awesome! This is dancing as it was meant to be. How corny is this, In '83 I was 17, and I did the tail end of the last scene of this movie with my boyfriend in my sister's living room! My family still teases me! Ah, memories!
Oh my God, THANK YOU SO MUCH for posting this clip. I have memories of being five years old and being completely amazed by this montage. I'm glad to see that, as an adult, the amazing moves are still as impressive and magical as ever.
@iceblue4u Stallone trained him and gave him a diet to follow: much fish and rice, I believe

This movie sucks and ruined Travolta's career. He can thank Tarantino for giving him the chance to revive it with Pulp Fiction

I knew a theatre director/choreographer who looked just like the one from the movie. He would go on cocaine/alcohol binges every weekend.
He died of AIDS in 1992.
