This is one of the best episodes. I love the part as Edward arrives on the train with this WTF look as he sees his Dad standing there and then backs the train away from him. Haha
omgosh... I WAS so in love with R.S. when i was this age.... this and Facts Of Life was the greatist show ever.... I loved the 80s ... there shows rocked back then... not like now with all this reality crap... lol ... i feel so old lmao
Too bad this minidose didn't include the part where Grandpa Stratton reacts embarassedly to Rich Sr.'s ability to "outrun Blinky" on Pac-Man (as opposed to winning "Nobel Peace Prizes"). That quip was the best laugh of the whole series!
@vgmc7650 Yes, these minisodes are crap - the best parts - the biggest laughs - are missing. I am very much disappointed - I recently was reunited with Silver Spoons, courtesy of Deja View, as I used to watch the show back when it was new (I am exactly Ricky's age). I saw this episode a few days ago and wanted to show my friends my favorite part of this scene. But it's cut out. Thanks MinisodeNetwork..
A good episode and a sad one, too. I have known many real life incidents where grandparents and parents don't get along and it makes it difficult on the children. Hopefully shows like this serve to show people how much it hurts the kids and maybe some real life good comes of it.
@heartcat80 I believe as I remember father and grandfather get closer as the show progresses and they both spend time with Ricky. There can be a lesson there. I thought I remembered Joel higgins saying you never invited me to a game, so the grandfather invited him along. Is that another episode or am I wrong? Maybe I'm thinking of something else.
when the boy turns to leave Houseman's office, I expected him to turn around and say, "You are a Son of a Bitch Kingsfield!"

My favorite part of this scene is missing! Why upload a video if you're going to cut out key parts? Arggh..

The grandfather was a salty old dog. My grandfather was an old sea wolf - a whaler.

The grandfather was the only reason to watch this show.
