But those of you who say that she's almost exactly like Julie Andrews, Connie actually has the same problem with her voice as Julie does, which is a great shame. But she is a stunning singer! Her Maria is just the best!

How do you guys think Canada's Maria stands up to her? I thought Elisha (the winner) was a better singer than Janna but I was always drawn by Janna's eyes and presence. However, the panel said that Elisha is just raw talent and has lots of room to grow. I was satisfied either way but I slightly liked Janna more.

I've been reading comments on other forums and people don't seem to be liking connie. can i just say that people underestimate the difficulty of singing. Especially the songs from the sound of music. Connie Fisher is a talented actress, I've seen Sound Of Music in London twice already but 1st time I had Sophie Bould (Liesl girl) then I've had Connie Fisher and she was brilliant, after the show I met her in person and she was so nice willing to sign my programme and we've had our photo taken she is so nice!!! xXx

I think she was just trying to rest her voice as much as possible by not pushing the high notes. Aoife told me that while doing Chicago, in between shows (matinee and evening) she would rest her voice completely. That's what Connie's doing there. Doubt she was nervous, she's been on national telly and in front of thousands on stage. She's just not pushing her voice for the TV cos she had to go back on stage that evening.

She has been back in SOM since late March. The vocal injury was months ago. She does six shows per week, with an alternate (Aoife, 4th on the Maria show) doing the other two. This segment was filmed in between her two performances at the Palladium that day. I think she sounds very good, if not pushing the high notes as much as she could, but her stage presence is great.

She was asked to perform at "Any Dream Will Do" She was currently taking a couple weeks off from S.O.M. so she was still a little tired when performing this.

Whilst I agree she was not at her best. It must be difficult to adapt to this stage when she does not have the usual props etc whilst at the Palladium. She might of also been very nervous, not to muck up in front of Andrew L. W. and the Josephs, seeing as she kind of sets the standard.
