I just killed the Capra Demon last night, I thought it would be impossible alone but after the dog were killed the rest was cake....Barely took any damage

Is there a way to get across that bridge without being destroyed by the dragon's fire? In every LP I see, everyone gets hit. Can you bait it to do the divebomb thing, then sprint? Or is your ass just gonna have to get toasty no matter what?

after trying to beat this boss and failing for about 3 hours i found a super easy technique (in case someone is having trouble). when u run up the stairs (inside the boss arena) theres a tiny arch on the left u can stand on top of. this way it's easy to get the dogs out 1 by 1, and capra demon himself (herself?) will almost always fall off when trying to get to u. thus u can do easy plunging attacks and run back up. hope this helped

Theres a really cheep way of beating capra, if you run on the ledge by the staircase and stand in the corner, he cant hit you. then you just pelt him with arrows or magic. so if your having trouble beating him. I'd recommend this. Doing this he became the easiest boss in the game.

@Lions1986 you can get the bottomless box from many other merchants and at that point in the game its not a huge deal.

@assfever1 The fire keeper is just below the bonfire at firelink shrine, theres stairs to the left of the npc there is your facing him. Just offer her a fire keeper soul which u can get from looting the body behind the black knight with the giant shield.

I know it's a bit late to say this, but a little disappointing that you use the schimitar, yet never perform any strong attacks. A fast strong attack that hits twice is the key defining feature of the schimitar unless I'm wrong?

After watching you breeze pretty much effortlessly and seeing this game go on sale at BestBuy I decided I would try this "impossibly" hard game. I did pretty good up until this point, beating every boss without dying. But then I got to this point. This effing point. I died to the Capra Demon AT LEAST 70 times. I spent literally 6 hours trying to beat this guy!

If you stand on the little arch at the top of the stairs the dogs can't reach you and Capra has a hard time getting you as well. Sometimes he even stands below and you can hit him with a plunging attack.

If you walk up the stairs and stand on the little ledge you basically can't be hit, and then you can do plunging attacks on capra. Kills him pretty quickly. Also, it's fairly easy to get past the dogs if you just walk with your shield up towards the stairs....

Am I just a natural or did I get lucky couse I killed him on my second attempt. :/ After you've killed the dogs it's pretty easy, I mean it's still a challenge and I think I was fairly close to duying once or twice but still.

Then again I spent alot of time in the Undead Burg before I learned th combat of this game and as a reslut lvl'd up quite a bit...

@TehGratezt Yeah, the dogs are the immediate problem because they corner you by the door and the Capra bypasses your guard. Capra himself isn't that tough when you pick them off.

Dealing with the spearmen are actually really easy, all you have to do is hit them once and they'll lower the shield and the and stab you, just riposté (or however its spelled) and stab him in the stomach.

I have maybe 6-7 hours into Dark Souls (bought it when I saw you're first video) and I got the timing down on the first couple spearmen I found, now I one-hit them about 97% of the times I face them.

Oh yea and btw I haven't played Demon Souls couse I dont have a PS3, so yea... not that hard.

When I was fighting this guy, if you get up the stairs and onto the archway quick enough with him still down there, you can stun-lock him with drop stabs over and over again. Fuck those dogs in the ASS though.

Charcoal Pine Resin is pretty crappy. It adds 80 AP to your weapon, but considering it has to go through a foes fire defense... Pretty dang small addition. the lightning pine resin, though, adds about 150.

ya I made a knight and ended up finding and using a set of thief "black leather armour" I like the speed too much and the ability to dodge. Also the grass shield is really good, increased stamina regen, and blocks some magic. You gotta kill the black knight in the forest though, past the gatekeeper who is under the blacksmith.

@captshavers actually the shield is not really that good. there are even easier ways to get stamina regen, the damage block isn't good and there are better shields for magic resist

Hey NL, just thought I'd say, in case you didn't know, enemies can't parry lunging attacks. So if there's just one of them and they're parrying away, I'd recommend to just go and lunge at them.

@Northernlion cont. third: right when you enter the undead burg from firelink, there are a couple of barrels on your right with a hidden path behind them. and finally fourth: to the left of the gate leading down to lower undead burg there's a house with a chest inside. the chest contains a few black firebombs.

Few things, if you look at the stats for the hollow armor you'll see it's probably a good bit better than the cloth stuff you're wearing. Secondly, that corpse in a barrel does have an item on him, it just doesn't show up until he's laying on the ground. Thirdly, you forgot to free the sorcery trainer.

Also, you've gotta start putting points into Strength, or you're gonna keep doing insanely low damage to everything... you're doing way lower damage than you should be for this point in the game, man. At this rate, you're gonna hit Anor Londo and have to grind off-screen just to beef up.

Level IS important in Dark Souls. You aren't gonna beat O&S at SL20 (just for example) unless you've got a lot of tricks up your sleeve.

@ChibiSoma I really disagree. I've done O&S as early as 22 without serious problems. I just finished NG with a different character who was around SL80 and I finished with <20 strength. Damage is much more about your weapon choice, upgrading it, and pumping the stats it scales with the best (disregard the last point if you're using an elemental weapon).
