Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution:
"Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to each of the U.S. Senators and Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the personal benefit of Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to each of the citizens of the United States".
very true, reminds me of a john stewart joke, where he's asked if he thinks bush is stupid. He says: if you listen to bush talk, he actualy doesn't sound stupid, he sounds like he's talking to someone stupid, you know what? i think we're the ones that are stupid.
the people don't choose the politicians. the system is rigged so that only people with money and with connections to corporate power & funding, who want to keep the corporate power status quo going, can afford to run for office, and are the only ones whose campaigns are covered by the media, which also plays a large part in controlling the political system. we need complete campaign finance reform, the formation of new parties, and a functioning media to restore democracy in this country...
so 8% is lower than 9%.....hmmmm
