It will be curious to see if funding for annual Bridge Inspection Programs by the Federal Highway Administration and other agencies has been cut on an ongoing basis in favor of funding Bush's Oil War in Iraq. Sad situation regardless, my condolences to the families of those affected.

my family (and I) drives over that bridge all the time. Today, my mom and I heard it on the radio. We were freaked out that my brother and my dad had gone on that bridge (they didn't). It's just so sad and weird because it fell w/o reason...
