  • I don't want to believe that Enda Kenny is some sort of evil psychopath, but what did he mean by saying just one word to young people - "freedom".

    I mean, gosh, that sounds great but isn't that part of the slogan on the No-banner?

    And where's the freedom in a dictatorship? Freedom from decision-making you mean?

    Kenny may have some merits yet to come, but he will have to sidestep Barroso and the pack of wolves on each good idea he might have in future.

  • Well I for one want Europes help. They have before and they will again. Sure if we vote no what is to stop the EU wanting Ireland out? Sure we are a burden to them if that is the case and if that happens I garentee the No side will want back in and take what we get. We need Europe more than they need us, just remember that.

Voting no will undermine their support to Ireland in the past, present and future. Fine Geal and the Yes campain are the real protectors of Irish jobs and democracy, not these left wing dinosaurs who still believe Stalinism is a great ideology.

  • You left wing hypocritcs seem to believe that voting no to this treaty will protect Irish jobs. If a country has a lower cost base that is more attractive to companies then that is their right. The company has a responsability to its investors first and employees second. A major reason why our economy is struggling is because of Trade Unions demanding higher wages for everyone including people who are incompetant and dont deserve them. The no campain are represented by communinists

  • Oh, and voting yes to give more power to an power-hungry, unaccountable, unelected commission that suffers from legislative incontinence will help jobs? Voting for more regulation and more controls will help business? Our economy is struggling because its success was a mirage based on property speculation, not production. It has nothing whatsoever to do with worker's wages, which form a small part of the overheads of the average business.

    Check out article 48 of the treaty, How can a self ammending european treaty be good for any country, In europe, ever heard of The Enabling act of 1933 you guys sound like the American Republican supporters.

  • There was a vote in Brussels prior to the Lisbon referendum on wether to accept or ignore the Irish referendum and they voted to ignore the result, one of those who voted to ignore the result was Labours Proncias De Rossa The amount of anti democratic politcians in Brussels is scary ,and Fine Gael are shoulder to shoulder with them , Fine Gael wanted a YES vote saying its a good deal , Then Sinn Fein went out and got a better one, who's is really looking out for us ,not Fine Gael thats 4 sure.

  • Here are a few EU lies : There are no plans for a European superstate ; there are no plans for a European Army ;Galileo is for civil use only; the Constitution is not comparable to the Lisbon Treaty ; the Commission respects the Irish NO vote.
