I would like to combine this with bfd2, for shaping kicks, and snares, but it is not possible:( Can you make vst of only PRECAL??? This would be amazing, or make that it can be opened separately like stuff in ozone. I think you would sale a lot of copies:=)
Hey, I was thinking of getting Geist and Tremor from FXpansion but then I saw this. Is there the option to wrap and drop midi from Nerve to the DAW like there is in Geist/Guru or would you have to bounce it down. How easy is it to bounce down the parts to Audio? Seems a pretty cool plugin.
@CrikC you want the latest Nerve beta (available to customers in the registered user forum) for doing this optimally (drag and drop MIDI score, and feature "Menu->Options->Sequencer Disabled" which shrinks the GUI and hides all transport-related controls).
This one is such a great great grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat VST. You're a fuckin GENIOUS man. I found Nerve on D. Ramirez' Masterclass Video. Be sure I'll buy a copy of this!! Thank you Steve!
@Oschaz glad you're getting into Nerve! I talk about how I integrate Nerve in my live set in this video (doesn't seem to want to post the link, I'll email it, you can search Glow TV Steve Duda
Not bad, even though there are other software like this that can do alot more then NERVE can. Still though this looks like a great program and I see it as a good tool but definatly not innovative nor revolutionary!

Not at all - you can use Nerve with your computer's built-in audio hardware. However you do need a VST or AudioUnit host to run Nerve (Logic, Ableton Live, Cubase, Reaper, Tracktion, Bidule, Renoise, FL Studio, Sonar, PreSonus Studio One, etc).

Can you assign the midi notes to the pads or are they hardwired like Geist?

How would you go about eq'ing or further tweaking the different parts in Nerve? Can you assign the pads to different outputs?
dusp2k 6 months ago
@dusp2k there is 4-band parametric EQ per-pad in the latest Nerve beta. You can also assign pads to different outputs.

Is there a parameter like Snap that boosts the sustain instead of the transient?

I've only ever bought and used mixing software up until now, does Nerve have any major sound hardware requirements?

is there going to be an educational license version available?
ak11488 2 years ago
we'll look in to it...whether or not we can depends on the distribution model we go with which is still up-in-the-air.
XferRecords 2 years ago
this is very similiar to the GURU, but with different GUI
if im not wrong, the GURU is also co-programmed by Duda as well
hopefully this wont have the click-pop sound bug that GURU has when you import WAV file loops into your host with different tempo
TaurusAndVaggeliTV 2 years ago
I co-designed GURU but didn't do coding on it.
Nerve has 3 different timestretch choices for loops, so you don't end up with any gaps between slices from a loop at a different tempo.
XferRecords 2 years ago
i appreciate the feedback Steve, cause we intensely use the GURU and that was the only problem we had with it.
Looking forward to your new software :)

I don't know what you mean by tabs; you can see all 16 pad sequences at once with the "16" in the top-left area, I'll show this in the next video!
