The different setting allow you to adjust the density of the vapor. The more dense the vapor the harsher the vape. It's all vapor. It's nothing like smoking a bong. I'll never smoke again if I don't have to.

I still have the Volcano and it's still working after being shipped back and forth during my travels. I use it exclusively. Of all my friends only one was unimpressed... but he's an idiot. For me this remains to be the best method of THC delivery I've ever encountered in my 38 years of consuming marijuana. If you smoke a lot... you can't afford NOT to buy one. Pays for itself in like 3 months.

this seems ideal for smoking. i'm a vocalist in a band and i smoke a lot of blunts but i've been searching for alternative ways to smoke because i love herb! i'm an advocate of it and full supporter. I was just wondering if it has been proven that this is healthier. Maybe an article or something somewhere saying it is indeed healthier for you. Other than that I am def. investing in one of these. so how much weed is conserved by this vaporizer? for example, if i smoked half a gram from a pipe, would that half gram in a vaporizer act like a full gram? or 3/4 a gram?

Funny... the heating unit isn't the expensive part of the Volcano. The fine German engineered part you put the weed into is what costs so much. If you are a heavy user you can break even in 3 months from the herb you conserve using the Volcano. I feel healthier using it. My house doesn't smell like smoke anymore either. I bought a cheap AC converter so I can use it on the road. I don't know what I'm gonna do when I go hiking. Solar panels perhaps? Hummm.

Not really. I like not smoking burnt matter. However I'm not sure it's "better" for you. So far it "feels" better. Cleaner. But more so than anything... it conserves weed. I get WAY more baked on way less weed. The high lasts longer... no cotton mouth. But if you enjoy smoking this thing would be a total waste of money. I hate smoking but love herb. Plus it doubles as a popcorn machine and hair dryer and a hand sanitizer... all for just 600 bucks...lol

I still have a fat ass bud left... it only takes like 2 or 3 bucks worth of mids to get blazed on your own.. If u had 5 people throw 10 bucks down for an 8th of dro and smoke all of it I promise you you will be the highest you have ever been.. It was brand new during this shoot. I'm still using the same bag. I don't crunch the bag anymore though. I'm now more pro and simply inhale the vapor with half a breath and the second half of the breath just air. Read the directions for more on this. More air carries the molecule further. It works. Plus you can vaporize the substance til it's gone. 3-4 bags! #5 1/2 seems to be my fave setting for the dank.

I have a question: When the herb has been consumed/vaporized is the remaining unburned matter devoid of its state altering qualities or can it be loaded into a regular device and smoked in the conventional manner?

Once vaporized the herb is innate. (I think that's the word... I'm no scientist) It looks all gold and dried up. You could resell the useless leftover herb and make lots of "friends".
