its not about the breed, its a dominance thing... small dogs tend to hump legs more than large dogs since large dogs can dominate their owners with just their size and power (ie taking YOU for a walk).
Will you stop a 200 pound dog hump a human or stop a chihuahua? Which one is more likely to hurt or discomfort a human? The reason small dogs hump legs more often is because people let them because it not as annoying as letting a huge dog doing the same.
PS: Number one reason dogs hump is sexual (to masturbate)
In a dominance hump the dog will bark, bite, show the fangs, be aggressive in general. How many dogs have you see humping and doing that? Don't confuse sex hump with dominance hump
