Well, I have a 16gig iPhone and the fact that it also works as an iPod is awesome since I don't have t carry around two devices. (And my sis was happy when I gave her my iPod Nano)

The only downside is the battery life using the iPod service on the iPhone.

it depends on how much media you want to store on you're iphone and if you have a lot of music and a lot of videos and you have a lot of contacts you need for you're friends or something else.. but i think 16GB is nicer ;) it has more memory and you might keep it for extra important things.. :) hope i helpt
