I bought a 9 rank chambered Moller built in 1930 for $1,500 from a methodist church on Long Island for my house. It was sold by them to me to replace with an electronic. Of course it needed extensive work, still does but 3 ranks do work so far.

Nice sounding pipe organ! Thanks for peeking inside the organ housing with the camera. A lot more of the smaller pipes are installed inside. I hope who ever buys this beautiful instrument gives it a good home, be it a home, church or concert hall and who will give it the proper care.

@agingzoomie I'm sorry to hear that. If I had a house it could fit in, or money to pay for it, the organ would be mine. But 1, none of those conditions are met and 2, it's probably already bought and paid for. So all I can do right now is pray for the owner and that, if the pipe organ is not bought yet, that you can sell it soon. Oh and one more thing. What kind of pipe organ is this? Is it a reed organ? Or is it a regular one?

Lol, under 5K are you serious??? you can't even buy a grand piano for that. It's 14 ranks, figure a minimum of around $5,000 to $10,000 PER RANK- the pipes alone new cost several thousand dollars a rank from any of the several supply houses like Organ Supply Industries in Erie Pa.

You can buy used organs thru organ clearing house, from ads in any of several pipe organ magazine- The Diapason is one, The Tracker is another, AGO puts out a magazine
