I use traktor with vinyl, I started out with vinyl and I take off all the aids it has. I guess I just prefer the look of traktor. Technology is moving forward, don't get left behind...

I worked as a DJ from my teens, I used to sleep with a pair of 1210s at the end of my bed. Last thing at night, first thing in the morning I was mixing, I did a little producing but nothing came of it. But I still keep it an intrest in it and I now work in the entertainment business not as a DJ but love what I do, and do what I love.

Anybody can be a DJ. All you need is music and something to play it off, its not about technical skills. Its about giving the crowd the best possible musical experience you can. The crowd is not bothered about what equipment a DJ uses as long as he or she plays music they like. The only people who are bothered about equipment are DJ's. It's not about impressing other DJ's its about the people on the dance floor and a good music selection. DJ's are self important these days. This video is dumb.

I use serato or traktor scratch pro. I prefer the vinyl interface as opposed to CDJ's. I've used controllers and all sorts of other mediums as well. It's all good but nothing beats that vinyl feel. I do not have a record collection to play on the tables but I do have a top notch music library. If you're a proper DJ then beatmatching should come easy to you, it's such amenial task. There's an art behind the mixing and making your set sound good all together. I do not support vinyl snobbery.
