THEY KILLED KYLE WHY? Now that that is outta the way I sincerly doubt kyle will stay dead, if your a main character in any major DC work death is never perminent. I mean Nekron just killed like 8 major heroes including Superman, Wonder Woman, and Wally West so i know for a fact they will come back.
I'm dissapointed that Kyle is dead. He's my fav GL next to Alan Scott. This story is big on the killing huh? But I guess all the dead folks, like Hawkman, Tempest, and Damage died to serve a bigger purpose. That purpose being Bruce Wayne's return. Something in this story, if not the story itself will be the start of Batman's return. I can almost guarantee it. I hope if they kill someone else in this, that it isn't so casual as Kyle's death. The character deserved better than that. RIP

Exactly. I'll never take a comic company's word when it comes to the death's of characters. God I just realized how many guys have come back from the dead. And I don't mean like a clone of them died, or they just faked their death. I mean dead as hell dead.
But the weird thing is that his body is now a Black Lantern. So either DC has some kind of plans for him, or it's just a continuity error. Or it's some crazy time travel thing.
Well I assume you've been reading Booster Gold and even if he is brought back by screwing with the timeline, he still has a carcass in present time. Just like how Superboy was brought back in the future and brought back to the present, his body is still rotting in a cemetary

Yeah, this story is'nt dissapointing as far as suprises go especially involving people who die. I could'nt believe it when Ralph and Sue came to have tea with Hawkman and Hawkgirl. And poor Tempest! I did'nt think he'd EVER die! Damage's death was VERY unpredictable too!
Well I kinda figured the Hawks would get killed. They usually don't last more than a decade and they made it through I.C. and F.C. so they were due to die. They'll be back though. As far as Tempest goes, I guess without Aquaman, there really isn't much going on for him. I'm actually surprised that he lived for so long after Aquaman died. Damage dying was just sad. It seemed like there was alot more for that character. But he was never a major one, so I doubt we will see him ever again.
I'll comment more once I've read it, but for me can you have a spoiler warning in the future (FOr example: Spoilers from BN#4). This is truly epic though.

I agree. It's just that most people had considered Damage's death to be the biggest one in BN so far, so I assumed this vid was about him. Ironically, Kyle and Grant showed up on the superhero scene around the same time.

DC PROMISED that Blackest Night would have nothing to do with bruces return. at ComicCon. Grant Morrison's hopefully writing that story in 2010
