Not as far as I know! I think the Trilby's unique in this respect. It's very effective for manoevering like this, and also has the advantage of not sticking out behind the boat to get damaged by lock gates. The only real disadvantage is that it needs quite a lot of strength to close and hold closed if you use a lot of power, that video was mostly with the engine not much over tickover. I think more fine-tuning of the shape of the blades and pivot points could solve that.

Seems like the kitchen rudder is really the way to go. Do many narrowboats in the UK have them?
