Hey, I'm having a lot of trouble with this program and I'm wondering (and hoping) you can help. I'm trying to import a .midi file I made using a program called Guitar Pro 6 into Superior Drummer to increase the quality of the drums so they don't sound so dumb and unprofessional, but whenever I import the .midi file into Adobe Audition 3.0 none of the notes show up so I can't play my .midi file in Superior Drummer. Can I import a .midi file into Superior Drummer and export it as a wav somehow?
Many tks for yr explanation, just got superior 2 + Metal Foundry n was hvng problems to access multi-out. Tks to u i did, but i've 1 doubt n was wondering if u can help me.
I liked a lot of Metal Foundry mix preset w/ lot's of buses already compressed, eq, filters, etc however it's not multi-out, when i choose multi-out seems that the amazing drum sound fm Metal Foundry mix goes away, even selecting buses.
When i choose MF mix preset again, good sound return however not multi-out ? any ideas ?
where should u put Sonar, Superior, VST plugins all at. there all under program files in there own folders, but when i open Sonar, and go to views or insert, i cant find VST plugins anywhere. How do u set the correct path for it all to work? Pm would be greatful.
Hello,Can you trigger loops with a drum pad with ezplayer pro using solo? I am using ezdrummer to play live gigs and there isnt much about live gigs anywhere. But if that is possible to do,I would buy it.Just want to have a little percussion like tambournine or shakers ect... and even a little bit of layering, but I cant reach over and click a start button.BFD lite has that feature. But I like ezdrummer for live alot better. Thanks man.
Hey dude, I just got the superior drummer, Im using ableron live 8 to record, I dont have idea where I have to go to create a song. I know I have to program it in midi, but I dont have idea how to do that, could you help me a bit?
Nice tip on multitracking kit pieces in Sonar. I still haven't found info on cymbal choking. I don't play any drum beat, all i do is program them with the Sonar piano roll. I know SD2.0 has built-in choked crash samples that are fixed length. I'd want to choose/program the duration of the choke based on the normal cymbal samples, is this possible? I've read the manual and googled with no luck so far. Any help with be appreciated. Again,I'm just using the piano roll to program the drum beats.Thx!
I Need some help. My Drums sound Weak nowadays because I use my Roland Workstation to Create them. The Beats themselves are Really well Constructed & Totally Original. But the Drums sounds themselves sound WEAK. (Check out my Track I uploaded for an Example if you wana demo!). I am Totally Analog & have used my Synth's Sequencer up Make beats up until now & it's been fine. But with all these new sounds I need Strong Drums. HELP!! Where 2 Start?!
So, I've recorded a MIDI drum track within Sonar. I tried using your tutorial, but I'm getting no sound from EZ Drummer, or Superior. How can I get the Midi track to output to SD2, or get SD2 to use the Midi track as an input?
hey bro...i just got SD 2.0 for Sonar Producer 8.5...great vid...one quick question...if the EZPlayer Pro already pulls up with multi-out on the mixer where i can effect each drum with compressor, eq...etc....what are the advantages of putting it in multi-out again in Sonar?
my superior drummer shows me triangles on all the cymbals and drums. and when i start the program up it says "the soundstat file of the "superior" product has an unusable format. this may indicate a faulty "sound path". what can help?
I found your video very helpful but I'm trying to record the Superior Drummer output paths without success. I noticed that when the input on my audio tracks is set to one of the Superior outputs, the "record enable" button disappears from the track. Do you know why this is? Just want to actually take advantage of this feature. Thanks in advance for you help.

Thanks man.. I REALLY appriciate you taking the time to explain all this..I had some questions on this software which you answered here..Will probably pick this up now..
Alright, your video was a lot of help! More detailed than the Toontrack manual, but how about using a Roland module to perform live using Sonar? I did everything and I can hear the sounds from EZPlayer Pro but my EZDrummer won't respond to the MIDI input coming from my module. I can trigger them using the EZDrummer by itself but not via Sonar. Help.
Hi there, I'm new to sonar, could you help with this, I've separated the drums, then when I add an fx to say just the snare drum, I can't here the fx happens, but if I drag the fx into the main mixer it works. any idear why I'm doing wrong. Thanks, the vids are very helpful thanks you.
To all you guys that haven't got a reply SORRY! I've been totally swamped lately. I'm in a band & I'm producing & my time has been taken up between the two. Once again, if you have a problem go to the Cakewalk forum! There are some really smart guys in there & they can help with about anything you need, even Toontrack products.
I followed your instructions and had success with both EZDrummer and SD2. I since changed to a Tascam FW-1884 and can no longer audition grooves on SD2. EZDrummer works fine but not EZPlayer. I can hear the drums in SD2 when I click on them, but not in EZ player. Any ideas?
I Think I've been making some mistakes by not inderstanding how to use the "Aux Bussing " in My mixing board properly.
I know these things are very simple once You have a good understanding of them, but when You are not Clear on how a function works it can be a long hard road.
Very time consuming. I really appreciate Your Help
Makes sense,,,,i have Bounced tracks I have arm ed the track s I want to bounce to with sucess, BUT there have been times I have recorded an Audio tack and then record try to record another track on a different track and the Previouly recorded track shows up along with the track I am trying to record? that make sense?
That sounds like an input config problem maybe? The basic process is like this: Arm a track. Record what you wanna record on that track. Un-arm the track & arm the next track you wanna record on. Record on that track & so on, until you have all your tracks recorded. Now you wanna select the tracks you wanna bounce together & either bounce them to a separate Master track or your hard disk. Maybe I didn't quite understand what you meant but hopefully this will help. If not just ask whatever.
Thank You and you are correct, I am sure some beginner like Myself could benifit from some of the Qustions I have. So I will get the ball rolling By asking You 'How do you keep from RE-recording previously recorded Audio tracks ?
Hi, I would never want to impose on You .But Your Video Instruction was very helpful .I am new to PC Recording and It appears that You are very Knowledgeable concerning Sonar 8 as well as working with soft synths. Would it be possible to ask you a question from time to time? I would be most happy to send You my personal E-mail address. Thank You for reading This.

After the mixer part you went down to the bottom of the screen and loaded EzPlayer...
i have Acid Pro and i cannot identify where to load it. Please detail how you loaded EZplayer.
Thanks
