The whole thing was a bit sad, a bit tragic actually. I found this cartoon a bit disturbing.

i remember the books but not this cartoon , there was a particulary good one of the books were little blue went skiing and his friend got stuck in the snow and little blue used his elephant strenght to pull him out of the snow

I used kick up a bit of a stink on the odd occasion there was no Matey at bathtime (I'm not proud of it). I thought that if I used it consistently enough over a prolonged period of time I could turn myself blue. Lol! I was only 4 AND this was one of my fav progs back then!!! This is the earliest show I remember watching as a very young child, the theme haunted me for years and I only just was told what the show was. I wish this series would get released on DVD, I would buy it in a second!!!! Top show!!!

The first time I heard the word sh-t was at playgroup as one of the hard kids sang "mummy's got a sh-t sh-t now" to the tune of Little Blue. Snorkel parkas, itchy flares and Clarks polyvelts.
